Luann already has a boyfriend (Quill). Also, I think Crystal is dating Knute. Bernice and Delta need boyfriends. Tiffany and Ann need professional help. There would be a ton of plot lines if Brad was paired with Ann, but I can’t see how Evans would put them together. Besides, I think Brad and Toni do a lot more than you think they do.

Luann has a long-distance relationship with a guy she knew (but didn’t date) for about a year before the guy moved back to Australia. Also, if Luann was dating an old geezer like you in person, you would still be called a pervert. … We’ll compromise on Knute and Crystal, since they’ve never done anything particularly romantic. But it’s clear that they were pretty good friends before we see Knute take the step of cleaning Crystal’s bathroom for her (AHA!!!! The “Secret abstinence message!” Evans is totally copying Meyer!) … As you’ve no doubt seen from previous strips, interactions between Miss Phelps and Tiffany seem to involve Tiff flattering the counselor and giving her a manicure. No help there. Out of all the characters we’ve met, it seems like Crystal would have the best chance of getting through to Tiffany. I kind of want to have Tiffany get conned by TJ or someone, just so she can learn that the real world’s not going to revolve around her peroxide hair and caked-on makeup. Except she already has been conned (the firehouse dinner scam- both she and TJ set up the con, but only she was punished. And it doesn’t look like the experience made her any smarter. … I just can’t see Brad and Ann together in this strip. In that little scenario you wrote, it would be believable, kind of. I mean, she offered to dry clean Brad’s uniform! That was cute and sweet, and if Ann ever wanted to get Brad to trust her, that would be one of the first steps she’d take, I think. But I just can’t see it playing out in the actual strip.

Tiffany is SO thick that it’s pathetic.

Luann has been going to high school for almost 29 years now. If it takes that long, and she still has not graduated, what you suggest will go into the next century.^^That’s true but, we already know that Greg is making changes (apparently at his daughter’s request) and you can see that Toni is finally “testing” Brad, as a lover and as a Father; I can’t imagine the engagement is very far off.

Remember when Tiffany gave Bernice that makeover? (I’m sure Leviticus does.) Tiffany could become a stylist. That career track is probably less competitive than being a model. She was excited enough for her small part in “Eyez of Zeye” that she’ll get her required ego boost by being able to tell people that she did So-and-So’s hair.

I got an email from the ff.net support people. They just added a “Luann” category on fanfiction.net. There’s no stories posted in this category yet, so you won’t find the category when you’re browsing for stories. But when you go to post a new story, “Luann” is one of the categories you can choose from.

“That will not happen until they have sex. In others words, it aint gonna be.” … Luann’s supposed to be a more family-friendly strip. You said before that you wanted proof before you believed that Brad and Toni were having sex. Can you think of anything family friendly enough to be shown in “Luann” that would honestly convince you that Brad and Toni are doing/have done the deed?

but most countries still allow the modeling scene to be anorexic, bulemic, with drugs like speed used to reduce weight, along with insane exercise programs and even worse practices to keep the weight down. It’s like the fashion people hate women. Do they think that having women models who literally are half dead from hunger makes their product look better by comparison?^^Yes, they do actually, don’t forget, most of these designers are gay men, their idea of “sexy” is a young man’s body (Thin, muscular, few curves); not to mention that they see their models as living clothes hangers, not sexy women.

As a general rule, dudes call their women folk girl friends, not women friend. But none of the things you mentioned as proof would show up in a “family-friendly” comic. The “conversation” about safe sex involved Brad and Dad sitting awkwardly until Mom said something along the lines of “One word: protection,” then Brad commenting on how Mom gets straight to the point. The strip didn’t present us with proof that Brad knows how to put a condom on a banana! …I guess if Greg wanted to, he could have TJ ask how Brad’s date last night with Toni was. Then Brad could act all embarrassed. Then TJ would grin like a maniac.

That doesn’t seem very lucrative. I can’t imagine little widowed old women being very rich. They’ll notice a smaller amount of money missing (unless they’re senile.) … I don’t think TJ’s afraid of women any more than I think any gay man is afraid of women. … Also, the name “Ann and TJ’s Con Artist School” gives too much away. They would be better off naming it “Ann and TJ’s School of Business for Respectable Citizens.” Nobody would suspect a thing.

Poor Tiff honestly has a good heart, she’s just overly needy. Possibly due to her home enfironment. Let’s all give her a break.

Tiff is so wistful here, she’s more human than usual. Looks good on her. Interesting contrast to her normal “I’m the one in a million who makes it to supermodel” confidence. I’ve always wondered what kind of person sets their sights on becoming a model. Are they basically like Tiff, minus the cartooniness? I’ve read a couple articles about models and in general they sound pathetically shallow, so maybe Tiff =is= on the right career path. Hey, at least she has a career path. Good for her.

Something else I wonder is why Tiff’s Daddy-o hasn’t enrolled her in a private school rather than have her go to Pitts. I remember something about charm schools, but that’s not the same thing. She hasn’t been to a private school and flunked out, as far as we know, since she’s been at Pitts since kindergarten.

Have your been readying the stip long? Do you remember what a good sport Tiff was after being dunked in ice cold water at the school fair’s dunk tank? Tiff does have a heart and basically is a decent person. She just has such low self-esteem and needs to be re-affirmed constantly of how much she’s loved. Apparently, she’s not getting this at home. I think we all have to cut her some slack.

ChihuahuaMama, I agree with you. It’s hard to not want to punch Tiff in the mouth when she’s being a shit, but there are times she’s surprisingly really decent. Like when she went to the hospital to lift the morale of wounded veterans—she was the center of attention, yes, but she really did a wonderful job with the guys. Made this SO of a Vietnam-era ex-Marine smile. I will cut her some slack, while reserving the right to want to punch her in the mouth when she’s being a beeyotch.

Opinion. Crystal is the best looking girl in this comic strip.
