I was engaged at 19 and married at 20 so thankfully, I never had to go through all these extremely personal “Why? Why? Why?” relationship questions with my mother when I was single. I sure got lucky and dodged a really uncomfortable bullet there!!!!! ;-)

lightenup: Again, so sorry about Lil’s experience regarding her coaches bad behavior this past weekend. Since it IS a private gym, if/when she’s ready to resume cheerleading again, maybe she can join a different one and get better coaches next time? Hopefully she’s starting to feel better now that that whole miserable part of her trip is over with!!!!! ;-)

I agree with both legaleagle48 and catsarge – both payback time and “Because I said so” both apply.

Finally got caught up (again) on the strip and comments. Spent most of last week setting up lighting for the local dance school’s end of year recital. Setup normally takes about 5 hours but I still need to rest way too often. The recital was a complete success and a lot of fun – well worth my time to set up. Just to illustrate the quality of the school, one of the competitive teams has been invited to dance in the parade at Disney Hollywood Studios (Orlando) sometime in July. Sure wish I could be there for that!

Not a good week this week though. Felt a little dizzy yesterday so headed back to bed. Woke up on the floor outside the bedroom. Judging from the damage to my forehead and temple my face impacted the end of the wall on my way down. I don’t remember that at all. Had to spend 8 hours in ER for 3 stitches and get 2 units of blood. Seems my hemoglobin dropped to less than half of what it should be. Oh well, feeling much better today. Just cannot wink or raise my eyebrows at a pretty girl – hurts too much. This too shall heal. lightenup – sorry to hear about the cheerleading coaches – definitely not a good way to encourage participation!
