Ummmm…..which of you is the Maid/Matron of Honor? THAT’S who comes down the aisle last before the bride. And then at the end, Maid of Honor and best man are first behind the bride and groom. My bridesmaids screwed up at the end when I got married. Our rehearsal wasn’t all that good. We didn’t rehearse the end and so my bridesmaids and the ushers and best man all lined up behind us in the same order they came down the aisle in. What a waste of time and energy that day was!

Bookworm is correct meaning Charlene/aka best friend would go last right before the bride.

Hello Cathy friends! Enjoy your day!

All those dresses they tried on in search of the perfect one for Cathy’s dream wedding that they could also ALL agree on . . . and this is the best they could come up with? AACK!!!!! Time wasted: check! Money wasted: double-check!! Ugly, shapeless, and embarrassing to be seen in: triple-check!!! :-P

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

Okay, I’ll admit that I had no idea what order they all go in. Sure, my maid/matron of honor was closest to me, but other than that, does it really matter?.Hello Cathy friends! I agree with GretchensMom… I tried to pick a nice dress that my bridesmaids would be able to (want to) wear again. That’s just mean to choose something to make my close friends look bad. Happy Monday!

Wow… some really bad dresses!!! Lol. A lot of time, energy and money wasted on those. Either way, I’m still looking forward to the big day!

I see I missed quite a bit this past week. Happy belated birthday to QuietStorm27 and a belated hello to KFG. Both my daughters chose bridesmaids’ dresses that made the girls look beautiful. Evidently it was quite a task to choose them but everyone was happy in the end. Got back from Hawaii yesterday evening to find that our wonderful neighbour with a tractor made sure we could get into our driveway in spite of all the snow that fell – and the rain that fell yesterday. Not fun to have rain on top of a couple of feet of fresh snow. Way too heavy to shovel! I see Detroit is going to send us another storm later this week so I will be getting my winter exercise – and maybe work off the pounds I gained last week. So far in my experience, Iceland and Hawaii both rank at the top for best food to eat on vacation.

    [Sigh …]

I’m with the crowd here, since I’d say everyone at a wedding should look as good as possible. These things don’t happen every day, y’know!

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

I agree that it doesn’t make sense for the bridesmaids to look awful….but I have seen much worse dresses than these. I once saved a friend from having her maids look absolutely awful, I told her what I thought of the dress that one of the maids had forced on everyone else and we went and got some really pretty dresses that flattered all of them. For my own wedding, I found a dress on the rack that was lovely, and all but one maid really liked it. This was back in the ‘’granny dress" era, so it wasn’t hard to find something.Glad you’re back hendelca…worried you might have missed the big event!!

My bridesmaid’s dresses were from the same pattern as my wedding dress. I had a collar, they had scoop necks. I had long sleeves, they had puff sleeves. All the dresses were beautiful.
