It would have been even funnier if the middle panel had shown the dogs in front of Mom so it looks like Cathy is going to greet them (and take out the word “Mom” in what she says). And then she skips them and goes right to her mom. :-D I would have loved to be able to do this, but most of the time my mom either didn’t have any sympathy for me bc her MIL wasn’t so nice to her either, or she would take the other person’s side. So I learned to just deal with things on my own, sometimes with friends.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Lil and I are going to Taylor Swift tonight as a late gift for her birthday. “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22!” (In case you don’t know, that’s from one of her songs) :-) Have a fantastic day!

It takes the bad to appreciate the good.

The dogs are looking disgruntled. I hope she brought them lots of treats.

very typical, the woman’s parents are the best and the man’s parents are out to get her. GMAB

Nothing makes you appreciate what you have – bumps and all – than finding out things could be worse.

Lightenup – Enjoy being 22 again, even for one night.
