We moved from the northeast to Florida. After wearing structured shoes for a lifetime, now we live in flip flops/sandals. And yeah, when you try to put structured shoes on? They feel tight and uncomfortable! Feet DO spread if you let them. Why do you think the old Chinese used foot binding? Ok, ok, that’s extreme, but you get the idea.
I don’t like flip flops either, but that’s because I think they look sloppy and my feet hurt after wearing them for a few days. Every doctor will tell you that they are bad for your body in many ways. I’ll wear sandals during the summer though.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!
Flip-flops are uncomfortable so I don’t wear them but I live in sandals (or go barefoot) during the warm-weather months and “tennies” in the cold-weather months. When we were pack-ing to move two years ago, I had to get rid of a majority of my “structured” shoes because they no longer fit anymore due to having been out of the workplace for 15 years by then, but I still kept about a half-dozen or so pairs of my various dress heels just in case I needed them for a special occasion of some sort. They’re a little too uncomfortable to wear all day but they’d probably be okay enough to wear for a much shorter period of time ….. as long as I could sit about as often as I’d have to stand! ;-)

I don’t have to worry about flip-flop feet: I hate flip flops. I hate the stupid thing between the toes.

I can’t stand footwear I have to fight to keep on. Even in the summer I wear runners (sneakers to Americans)!

Sounds like the lesser of two evils, if you ask me …

At least until my foot surgery this winter, cloth sketchers are about the only shoes I can wear.
