Cathy: I wanted a piece of the pie. Nothing in my past suggested I'd ever be able to work off the pie. However, someone who should know better ignored my history and said I qualified for pie. In fact, she offered a bigger piece of pie than I'd dreamed of. I joyfully accepted the pie. Shortly after it was way too late, I realized the pie would burden my life in ways I hadn't comprehended... and that I was now trapped in an impossible agreement with the pie!! Sigh. Oh, for the love of all that’s holy, Cathy. You really need to quit over-thinking this. It’s just ONE piece of pie, for heaven’s sake! It’s the holidays. Enjoy it (along with everything else) while it lasts because it only comes around once a year. As long as you eat in moderation rather than stuffing yourself like a pig until you’re sick and miserable, it’s not going to hurt you too terribly much in the weight-gain department. But even if it does, it WON’T be the end of the world! Just make it your New Year’s resolution to get right back on the “diet-wagon” starting January 1st and don’t give up until it comes back off again.

So much drama over one piece of pie. But it is understandable – Cathy will have way more than just that one piece over the next few weeks (and years).
Fun matinee performance today – except for the very noisy small children. Never could figure out why some parents think their little darlings can sit quietly through a 3 hour production. I know some adults who cannot do that either. Even missed a cue because I could not hear the lines. Caught it a few seconds afterward since the cast was just standing there waiting for the lights to fade. Ah well, we still got a lot of great comments from the audience afterwards so I guess it was not too bad for them. Now we get a couple of nights off. A rehearsal again on Wednesday, then two more performances this coming weekend.
