Same with kids. Though cookies work better.

My son’s dog visits, sits on my lap, looks over to his owner with a doggy look like she is checking him out to see if he’s jealous.

I think it depends on the animal. Even though our cats love us all, the ex-strays definitely show preference for me. I’m guessing because they know I was instrumental in saving them and watching over them from the very beginning.

Speaking of, I have some sad news to share… We had to say goodbye to our other 18 year old cat, Nefi (Nefertiti), on Friday. While she’s had kidney issues for years, it was pretty sudden so it’s been a rough weekend. After saying goodbye to her sister, Cleo (Cleopatra) last month, it’s been a sad time. Nefi was our little stubborn cat who was sometimes a pain, but we loved our little grumpy girl. She had a lot of personality and let everyone know what she thought. We miss them both a ton. Here are some pics of Nefi and her sister when they were younger…

I am so sorry to hear of another loss from you family lightenup. I looked at their pictures and fell in love immediately.

I’m so sorry, lightenup…doesn’t seem fair to lose both of them within a month. Such pretty girls!! It looks like they came from a very good home and you can take some solace in knowing that you gave them a good life. (((((Huggs)))))

You’d think this family would have enough love to go around. With a bunch of nut-jobs like these, though …

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.
