Apparently, his vision is fine but his perception is weak.

In this regard, we have a role reversal in our household. I keep wanting to get a much bigger TV for the living room, and my husband doesn’t.

I have always been the electronics nerd in this family. When we first got married my husband couldn’t even figure out how to turn the stereo on. (I built myself a component system in the 70s that, mostly, still works.) Later the kids would buy him DVDs of his favorite movies, but he never watched them. He said the DVD player was too complicated. But, I have never felt the need of having the newest, latest, greatest of anything.

“I mean, my visual perception skills might be way more refined … but even YOU (blah, blah, blah).”

Wow. Just. Wow. What a very condescending and passive-aggressive thing for Irving to say! I get that he’s really excited at getting a newer, bigger t.v. with the Super Bowl coming up, but that was completely uncalled for. Pretty sure he got that high-and-mighty attitude from his bat-crap crazy mother because I can very well hear words just like that, said in just that tone of voice, coming out of HER mouth too. Good heavens! What a mess Cathy has gotten her-self into by marrying into such an insensitive, inconsiderate, and ruder-than-rude family as the Hillmans are ….. and that goes for her husband too! :-/

Maybe your tunnel vision perception skills, Irving, but as for the peripheral …

I, too, get that he’s excited by the gerbundous TV, but maybe just a bit too excited in this case? Oy.

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

I have the same problem as Lola85 which is why I have a 40" monitor on my computer and a 64" TV in the basement. Just wished I could find a 48" or larger monitor with the same aspect ratio of my current one. It seems all the larger monitors are wide screen which is not what I need.

Beautiful sunny but very cold day here today. I hope the sun shines on your life today too.
