I never realized until today how grateful I am that my Mother put focus for praise on intelligence and character rather than looks; it makes aging much easier.

“crepey ankles”?!?! Was that supposed to be “creepy”, or “like crepe paper”?

Sun is really bad for your skin, so you’re better off not going to the pool.

Having extra weight can make one’s skin look more plump, but the extra weight is so bad for one’s health that it’s really not worth it. It’s better to just take good care of yourself (skin, weight and otherwise) and be happy with what you’ve got. Plus I feel like she’s comparing apples and oranges. Old skin is different than being fat. She could be overweight and still have old skin.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Friday! Have a great day, all!

Nostalgic for fat – I don’t think so. Nostalgic for youth – definitely yes. To be more specific, youthful mind, no, but youthful body, yes.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Friday and is looking forward to a good weekend.

There is a solution. Called surgery to remove the excess skin. A lot of obese people who lose the weight have it done. Also some actresses have had it done.

Well, comic Cathy, that spiel about aging was … descriptive. Not sure if I should thank her or roll my eyes here.

HI, MOM. Happy just past Friday, Clan.
