Nowadays you are lucky if your mall has not shut down permanently and if it is open, still has all its anchor stores and not too many vacant retail spaces in between.
I make sure I do everything super early in the morning…or at least when the stores open. Get in. Spend 30-60 minutes. Get the hell out. That helps. But we do most of our shopping on-line now.
The malls in my area are like deserts. You could drive a tractor trailer there and find a convenient parking spot. Many closed stores inside, but plenty of parking.
Our mall converted to a strip mall. So fewer stores but there are more cars in the lot now since the dollar store and Giant Tiger relocated to the building from downtown.
In and out of the comics these days. Scrambling to get the lighting done for “It’s a Wonderful Life”. We open Monday evening for a one week run. Glad my shopping is done (both instore and online). Even caught up on my wrapping and finally finished decorating the tree today. Yes, definitely the busy time of year.
Wow, just had a thunder shower – in December. The rain is not making it easier to clear the snow that fell over the past two days. The bay, that was almost completely frozen over is not only have covered in ice. Really mixed up weather.

Ha! No kidding. I’m with Cathy on this one. Traffic is terrible in my town.

The worst thing about buying a wet suit is trying it on.

Ya just can’t win sometimes, huh? Especially during these crazy holiday times—due to both shopping and all that’s going on in the world. AACK.

The malls definitely are not as crowded as they used to be. But our downtown (tiny village) has so many restaurants and there is no parking anywhere.
