My college roomie includes a yearly newsletter. While that may seem antiquated, and I AM in touch with her via Facebook, I still really love getting those carbon-copied newsletters of her life over the past year.
I had to give up such a friend. Her very brief messages were always about how she was too busy to call and that she thought about me all the time (just not enough to call).
You are not alone lightenup. I just finished wrapping my gifts but still have two stockings to go. And the tree is only half icicled. Had to keep at it when my legs are shaky. Darn prednisone anyway. Trying to get everything done by tonight as tomorrow is my first chemo light session for this round. 4 years ago I was not really affected much by he infusion but don’t want to take a chance and leave anything undone in case I am not functioning well after the session. Then again, it will be nice to be able to relax and enjoy the day if all goes well.
Please enjoy this fine Thursday – and stay safe if that storm is headed your way. Looks like we won’t be getting a whole lot of snow this round so not worried – except my older daughter travels up from southern Ontario on Saturday. Hope the worst is over by then.
How much of a “dear, most beloved friend” could Gerry possibly be if Cathy hasn’t spoken to her in months? Just thinking of her “a million times” isn’t going to cut it if that’s all she does — thinks about instead of communicates with. There’d be plenty of time to call, email, write a letter or even just send her a simple “thinking of you” text if only Cathy would give up at least ONE unnecessary shopping trip to the mall every other month so that she’d have more time to do that. But, on the other hand, if she hasn’t spoken to Gerry in months, then Gerry isn’t exactly holding up HER end of their friendship either, so I guess that makes them both “even” in that department.

Me too, Cathy, me too. Although I do add a “and have a fantastic New Year” for bonus “meaning”. ;-)
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! I hope you all are more done than I am for Christmas preparation. Ah well. Have a great day, all!

Let’s just hope dearest Gerry can unpack it all. Otherwise, it’s a bit blah.

It was too much like having a daughter. :)

Better than no card at all…Gerry won’t even notice because she’s probably been really busy too.
