More plot lines coming together. So those of you who said that looked like Sweatbox’s assistant in Lowery’s were correct. Good catch.^^Actually, it was Tarry who pointed him out… and he had inside knowledge ;)
Sounds to me as though Sweaty and his thug are going to try to hijack Toad. I’m thinking Mr. Mole will not like that . A lot. But he may have to get Tracy’s help. Could be this misstep by the perspiring codger will lead to a break in the cold case….
I know its not likely but just maybe the old geezer is not a slime ball, and for some reason I am hoping that, he turns out to be cool. A child’s advocate maybe?
Well I stand corrected, it WAS jonah, or noah or whatever sweaty’s assistant is named….that was behind tracy at lowreys. Interesting, is he a waiter there or the maitre d? the plot thickens!!!
Just had a “scary” thought… stephen baux died before he coudl go to jail.. and it was stated that he was an athlete… how many bodies have been found so far either IN the crypt or at camp freedom? maybe sweatbox is “building his own softball team” out of.. CORPSES to keep his brother company?!?!?!?
Very Dickensian plot twist. Unknown, rich benefactor suddenly pops up in life of poor young person and “lifts him/her up” out of poverty. Poor person turns out to be somehow related (by birth) to unknown, rich benefactor.
This is bad, really bad. At least Mole will be watching out for her!I’m wondering when we’ll learn more about those skeletons, like how old the victims were…We’ve got a serial killer here. Maybe two…
Okay, I think I MAY know where this is going. I won’t say what I’m thinking (on the million-to-one chance I may be right), but it was in a Night Gallery episode back in the 1970s.
I’ve read today’s theories, and I’m sticking with my serial killer theory.Serial killers tend to target the same kind of victims, and stalk a familiar territory. Here, it could be kids, and playing softball.Hence, Sweatbox’s quick connection between his brother and softball when the subject was skeletons. And having said that with such certainty, I’d like to officially state that I’m probably wrong.
Thanks, Terry – um… Tarry! Now if everyone is really quiet and no one turns on the Troll beacon and shines it in the skies, the resident Troll will try to stay warm under his bridge, nestled in red sweaters and hair shirts – all the while ogling the Dick Locher posters he has taped up on the concrete abutments.
You have to wonder how Jonah managed not only to get the info on Toad, but a pic to boot… you’d think that kind of thing would be hard to find, on a homeless girl
How did Jonah know that it was Toad who broke the window? How did he even know her name? He had to have been following her before the baseball game to know both her name and that she broke the window. He is obviously scouting for players for Sweatbox’s softball team but in a very strange way. He followed her into Lowry’s restaurant and took her picture with his iPad. He makes a point that she is homeless (consequently someone that no one would miss if she disappeared). This is something more than just recruiting for a softball team. Something more sinister is going on here.

I still think that Simon Baux is not connected to any murders,
In fact, Simon might be instrumental in helping Toad and her mother get back to leading a normal life.

Despite what any troll might say, I think the writing and artwork on this story are excellent. Interesting and definitely NOT BORING.

Good morning all…
We should see some real fireworks in Sunday’s strip!

That would be Mayor Jackie Armstrong, Hudson High graduate, and heiress to the Wheaties fortune?

Simon looks like Uncle Charlie from My Three Sons.

Good Morning, Vista Bill!Hmm… well Baux could be a good guy…. or not. I just don’t know. But somebody’s been up to no good with all those bodies!

It’s still guesswork, but I for one do NOT like where this may be headed. I’m thinking Penn State, if you get what I mean…

Anyone who can snore (the Z-z-z-z troll) through this has got to be a Zombie and is bored simply because he isn’t the main character in the strip.

Interesting plot….but I think “Sweatbox” is the most repulsive of this strip’s villains, and I’ve been following Tracy since the 40s.

Sure hope Tracy will be doing something more than talking to his radio and showing up at the end.

I am curious if those skeletons are adults or children.

And you had the same question that I did! Why would he take her pic before she broke the window?
