Newspaper. Good Idea. How about the previous council people. Can they be interviewed? They may have some ideas how to fight this. Or are they signed up to keep silence about the time and activity while they were on the council? Is this ever been mentioned ?Blessed Be

It’s a great start, but they need to get a lot more (and bigger) friends to huddle around that table with them..Watching this unfold is painful and fascinating at the same time!
Note to self: Keep the political comments in the editorial cartoon section. With that thought aside, I find that Walt has an idea, for that may draw those who served on the HC out to comment on their experiences. I won’t count out Valerie/Roxie spilling the beans on Mr. Allgood to the Endtown Examiner, though she would be putting herself at risk. If Jackrabbit is asked to be part of this plan, make sure he’s put on a short leash….trust BUT verify in getting his aid.
I thought it was quite clear that Jake Jackrabbit doesn’t run the Endtown Examiner…he’s just a reporter and columnist…I’m not sure who acts as publisher, but Philo Foxworthy is editor-in-chief and Dottie Proctor is apparently another reporter on the paper. (She speaks of Foxworthy as “my editor” at one point.)#Or for “is” substitute “was”…some time has passed and just about anything could’ve happened at or with the Examiner…I can’t make out the fine print on the flyer Jake Jackrabbit’s toothy friend hands out, but I don’t think it mentions the Examiner, and he certainly doesn’t mention it at the seminar…after that fiasco when he, Dottie, and Walter had to “judge” Albert and Gustine, Jake could easily have lost his job on the paper…and he has the time to devote to Endtowners uber-alles seminars. So when the others approach the Endtown Examiner, it’s anybody’s guess, but certainly not mine, what they’ll find there.
Given the nature and themes of this strip, I would really expect some political and religious commentary in response. Because there also appears to be a caring community at the core of the Endtown fanbase, regular contributors need to be corrected all the more gently because they really do care about the strip(whatever their leanings). And from my soapbox I’d like to give a big shout out to all demigogs and heartless powergrabbers: in their own ungainly fashion they give desperate courage to goodhearts to gather around kitchentables and start changing their world.
That is the way to start. The Rats read the paper too or at least hear about it by word of mouth. This may be the way to get info to them about things going on. They have to swung to the other side or any action would just be a slaughter given what the Rats control. The best witness will be Al if he can get free.He was there and heard it all.Just how far down the hall do you think they will let him walk?If they were willing to take out Walt and he was less of a threat to them what do you think they think about Al.I love Wally “Storm the place!!!!!!” Spoken like a Marine.(And I have all respect for them, just don’t believe in rash actions. They work sometimes but expect casualties.) Walt spoke like an Army dude, there are other ways lets think this out.
I live next door to you in Washington and lived through eight years of Gregoire after her “election,” Nabs, but the others are right: Most of us are here to escape our state-imposed reality for a few moments, even if Endtown’s version of it comes closer than we’re comfortable with.
“This is their only chance, and up until the strom trooper come to close it down.”I totally agree…The first thing in this situation would be that they (The Allgooder’s) take control of the media.
That is the issue. The paper has been raided once before when it was discovered that is where the Flask leaked documents went. They got one shot at this then it will have to be underground pamphlets or word of mouth if it gets taken down. The expose will have to be so explosive that even censuring the press will just cause more of a public uprising. Not in the military or violence sense but just that questions demand answering will arise. The Security cannot stem that and since it is not violent or even unlawful (NOW) it can cause some heads to turn and pay attention.Deep Throat would probably be Al if he survives getting out of Council duty.Allgood did say he wanted a PUBLIC trial. This would be the forum to take this to. HOWEVER remember what the Council member inferred. It matters not what is decided by others. It is what THEY decide to do. That will be the norm until the Security that is now used to keep them in power is turned. Without Security support the whole house of cards will fall.
The paper could be a good idea if it hasn’t already been compromised by the “council”. If it has, then nothing this coffee klatch wants to say would ever appear.

‘Bout time the mainstream media in Endtown be confronted about what they’re not reporting…

Personally, I would rather have Great Lady Flask running things. At least with her, you knew where you stood.
And a hearty ‘bravo’ to mr_sherman.
Flask. Was. Right.

I hope Wally realizes that Jackrabbit could use this as an opportunity to grab power for his agenda.

Thanks for the quote. I was thinking how some of the world’s worse tyrants were elected, including Hitler and Saddam.

Nice job of lighting Aaron. Nothing like 4 angry conspirators sitting around a table in a dimly lit room to set the mood.
