Waitaminnit….kids actually PLAY with action figures?! They are not kept in pristine condition, never taken out of the box, seen only as ‘this is your college freshman payment, kid!’? Oh my heart leaps for joy, and I am not being sarcastic here – action figures are for action, driven headfirst into the sandbox on a heroic rescue mission, launched from slingshots across the yard simulating a zero-G environment, doused with the garden hose in a simulated thunderstorm, and other adventures. Sometimes my Barbies had to save my neighbor best friend’s GI Joe (back when he was 11.5 inches tall, not the 6 inch version) and vice versa. We made a good team in my neighborhood. I miss those days.

Like father, like son, or the other way around.

When I was a kid it was dolls for girls and the only action figures were “tin” soldiers often made of lead, which back then was only dangerous when used as bullets.

Now when he shows off the scar though, he can say that he got it in a battle with Boba Fett. OOhh, cooool!

He lives in a totally delusional world. Laura and the kids seem to be dysfunctional and/or codependent pawns.

And that’s what you get for leaving your toys out in the yard.

This concept of leaving toys out in the yard has always been a hard one for me, because I was never one to do that as a kid.

Of course, I wasn’t ever really one to go outside much either.

Sounds like you have quite the imagination. I never had the imagination needed to play with dolls, I mean Action Figures. My younger brother had a Captain Maddox doll, I mean action figure, he seemed to enjoy it when his older brother was not around. (I wonder why).

I’ve heard that part of the reason some of those action figures are worth so much is that most people do take them out of the box. So if no one played with them, they wouldn’t be worth all that much :)
