Actually, I donât think itâs all that much quieter than any other neighbor. Thereâs all the lawn mowing and gounds work, the occassional backhoe digging new graves, cars coming and going, and some young people (including one young woman I once dated) think theyâre a nice place to park and, uhâŠ
I had a Catholic cemetery for a backyard neighbor. Very nice, pretty and there were lots of small animals which played in it. My grandson loved to watch them. Plus, the âneighborsâ never partied, or had screaming matches with their spouses, or got drunk and ran over your garbage cans.
I live right next door to a graveyard. It is pretty nice, actually. And a great place to teach the kids how to drive. Slow traffic, tight turns, and plenty of reminders of where reckless driving can get you.
Oh, yoâd THINK these would be quiet, yeah. Not always. Theyâre great places to party w/o having to be concerned about police. Iâve seen it done at the Granary Burial Ground in Boston. :-O The âinhabitantsâ rarely complain.
My wife and I looked at a house across the road from an old cemetery (this one was so old it would be more accurate to call it a âgraveyardâ).Liked the area, liked the graveyard, sadly just didnât care for the house. Too bad, might have been a very interesting place to âlive.â
I once lived in an apartment in Decatur, GA that the back was a cemetery. Also a creek or brook. The brook had just enough flow and rocks that is actually babbled. One of my most favorite apartments. I had good, quiet neighbors and we were quiet, so we all had an almost idyllic location.
Ask an inner city cop and he will tell you about the prostitution and drug use in the cemetery â that is in the day. Night time it is the kidsâ turn to party, either in the cemetery or the golf course.
it is quiet, most of the time. it is when the funerals, when things become a little noisy, especially if a kansas baptist church starts protesting at the funeral and a counter-protest from a motorcycle club to protect the funeral.

Headstones make a marvelous walkway in your yard. Remember to place them face down.

A nearby town is planning to build a new Nursing Home. Right next to a cemetery.
