There is no money in finding a cure for cancer. The money is in pretending to look for one and in drugs to “treat” it. Just look at all the cold medicine on the shelf at your local store. Now just think of all the money that makes. Over $4 billion (2011) a year. All of that plus more would be lost if a cure for the common cold every got out..There is no way the drug companies are going to let that happen. They would kill someone first and probably already have.
Why would research scientists be out of work? There’s always another disease, or another medical condition…that’s because of the “human condition”. Just wait, something new will be coming along shortly!
The research scientists aren’t looking for cures anymore. They are looking for “treatments”! That’s where the moneys at! When’s the last time anyone heard of a cure? Even if they did, the insurance companies would call it “experimental” and refuse to cover it!
