And I don’t even like fat jokes!

And the way that dog keeps licking him in the face! Ew! That’s disgusting!

If a person doesn’t have a dog, there’s probably a good reason – like, perhaps, he doesn’t like dogs!

Why do people think that by shoving a dog in someone’s face is going to convince him of the error of his ways?

How do they know he’s even wrong?

If that were true I would weigh 120 pounds and look 20 years old.

Gretchen really looks like Slim in the second panel. I remember when she was born, Slim heard someone in the hospital use the name Gretchen. He liked it and that’s how she was named.

I’ve been out of the story loop for some time and recently rediscovered this strip here online. I remember when Clovia & Slim took in Rover, the small lollypop sucking boy. Now he’s grown and married. But when did Gretchen come along? Is she their natural child? Any history about her I should know? Thanks to any long time reader for whatever info you can supply!
