The hard lookinâ guard with the awesome gun in front? They say he collects pollywog statues and sculptures. They say heâs kind of a sensitive guyâŠ.Cries easily, they say. Raised twenty seven foster children at last countâŠYou just donât know do ya, eh?
Just remember, âwhenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it; and to institute new governmentâŠâ
gmartin, hey, just because you make fun of something in life doesnât mean you want to get rid of it. If Wiley did a cartoon about a crowded bus, would that mean he wants to get rid of buses? No. Crowded buses are funnyâŠ.Baby crying on an airplane? Eliminate the baby? The plane? Or laugh at the joke! Your choiceâŠ.
Wiley, I did notice there was no airport. Itâs the townâs local Fourth of July party. It is funny in a way but that is the price to be safe now.Downtown at Fair Park in Dallas they look in all the handbags and run a wand around you for metal detection. And its all FREE.Have a great Fourth everyone or at least try to.
@Omnius. NO ONE on either side of the political fence has any claim to the high moral ground. NO ONE!! Rationality has gone the way of the dodo bird and we are all losers in this game.
You know, G, it appears your lifeâs ambition is to die in bed. Viewing cowardliness as a virtue and being mindlessly subservient goes a long way in achieving that goal, doesnât it?
Oh man, this comic was in my head before I even read it here! So many places around the country now, you can only celebrate your freedom in a government-approved mannerâŠ.
âNecessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.â â British statesman William Pitt (1759-1806)Now go look up the odds of actually being killed by a terrorist bomb, gmartin997.
#gmartin â man up. No matter what you do you will die one day, the day God says âTimes up!â Good news is nobody dies before their time nor a moment later. So live now. And I choose to live free even if it means risks of terrorist. Iâm not afraid of any lil ol terrorist, I have an ex-wife.
If the name you are looking for is Hadji (like Johnny Questsâ friend), he was a Hindu, not a Muslim. But wouldnât want you to have to go without making a snotty and inaccurate comment.
Iâm not sure if this is the exact quote, but here goes; " One who is willing to sacrifice personal liberty for a measure of safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety" B. Franklin.
How many studiesâindependent and federally-fundedâhave shown that these crazy security measures JUST DON"T WORK? The human element is just too big a chaos factor to ever overcome. Lax security workers, the number of travelers, nothing can prevent the truly ingenious and dedicated from doing nasty things or ensure nothing dangerous gets by security. But if you truly endorse such over-the-top, invasive security (which technically violates the Third Amendment) then so be it. Thatâs your opinion and youâre welcome to it.
.And people, the proverb is, âAny society that will sacrifice a bit of liberty for a bit of security will gain neither and lose both.â â Benjamin Franklin

Perhaps you should read the cartoon again. Where do you see an airport?
CHAZ.SHIELDS over 11 years ago
If you think the nonsense in the airport has anything to do with security, or an aircraftâs safety then you are seriously deluded.
