Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
I remember trying to watch Cricket once, couldnāt figure out what was happeningā¦ the guy was up to bat for what seemed like an hour and the scoring made no sense whatsoever, after about 20 minutes I found myself confused and bored out of my mind, like soccer, Cricket makes a pretty good replacement for a sleeping pill.
Not being a member of your illustrious group ;-) I would like to say I like to read your comments, or at least as many as I can fit in }-) It is a shame that some people have to come along and bring such negativity to a group that is having fun (which isnāt at the expense of others).
When you read your daily comics what you want is to be amused, if you can get that lightheartedness from the comics thatās great, if you can also get it from the comments that is brilliant :D
In general the worst thing about any situation is not the people being complained about but the person doing the complaining, I was recently sitting in a pub restaurant where a woman was making use of of the pubās WiFi connection and having an enthusiastic Skype call with her relatives, two other women were loudly whining about her saying how off-putting it was. After about 10 minutes someone from another table got up and walked other to the two complainers and bluntly said, āWill you two just shut up, you are ruining the atmosphereā needless to say this brought chuckles from everyone and stunned silence from the complainers. We all went back to enjoying our meal and listening to the free soap the other woman was providing us :-)
So one thing I have to say to your naysayer who in his own (lonely satellite) way is a part of your group is, āWill you kindly shut up you are interfering with the lighthearted atmosphere ā
Excellent opinion! You spoke your mind (and the minds of many, I believe). a have myself been lashed for making a similar comment. They will not enjoy Your opinion. Prepare to be torched.
Andy and Chalkie are playing for the same team, hence the similar dress. Chalkie really shouldnāt be wearing sunglasses though as they apparently obscure his vision.
Same Slop, different Night Dept [late Mon.]Gweedo Murray said, pretty early on*
Great Muggins, Six !!!The artwork isFAB !..My Flag Freaked, then flew !..That is so Andy in first and last. Makes me think the other fella is being sarcastic.
@No. 6(Back to my Muggins confusion)I may be beating a dead horse BUT as I remember, it seemed I was seeing the bottom portion of a panel above and (possibly) somebody slipping on a wet floor. If Iām wrong shoot me.
Again i feel compelled to thank (almost) everyone for the extra comics and the lively banter among friends.I dont stop in as much as i should. This place is fun, except for the rants from your local troll, and its supporter(s). I must say thou, some (embarrassing) part of me is happy that it does not infect my favorite comment and chat comics.Im sorry that it infects yours.
Late to the party ā¦ again ! My own observation on this poorly drawn strip, was I thought Chalkie was wearing green sun glasses in the last panel, which obviously didnāt help him at all.
Iām sure that it is a great game. As an American I have totally missed having a chance to learn anything about it. im sure that most people outside of North America and Japan donāt have a clue about Base Ball.Iām sure I am the porer for it.The only Cricket I am familyer with is one of these guys.
@Chalkie j/Eldo/WhomeverI have been looking back at some older Andys and I notice somebody calling himself Smythe Symbol has high-jackedyour posts. Youāre not going to take this lying down are you?
I wasnāt going to join in today. BUT when are we going to learn to IGNORE TROLLS. Why spend your valuable time responding to them? I am being guilty of wasting time because of them right now.
If I might ask you a questionā¦..why do you comment on this site? If you like to read the cartoons, thatās good. If you like to read the commentsā¦.then just ignore what you donāt agree with. If you like to control peopleā¦.then become a psychiatric nurse...I often see things I donāt agree with but I know other people have different views and i carry on to the next comment. If I might ask; just what are you a professor of?
I am friends on Facebook with my old High School Band director. Iāll post the green cricket on there just for him. Thanks. He is also a good nature photographer and gardener. He should get a kick out of that one. Re: Cornbread. A lot of the old folks around here like to put crumbled cornbread in a cold glass of buttermilk.
