JusSayin called it yesterday!“Any chance at all she just figured out she’s pregnant?”Although, she’d probably known about it for a while… It’s been at least 4 months since they’d started having sex, and we now know that cross-species fertilization is possible. And we now know why Holly ran away from Wally. Holly’s hurting on many levels now.

She lost their baby?! Was there one ever mentioned? Or…is Holly having a flashback to the days immediately after her change—when she first entered Endtown, and when she first used the tower as a refuge while Holly adjusted to her new life? (As she described to Linda on Dec 12.)

I think the American expression for this is “that came right out of left field”. I concur, grab her, Wally!

But don’t both mice and cats usually have multiple births? Unless the mutagenic virus only changes physical appearance, which would explain why a cat-person and a mouse-person can have a baby.

I had wondered over the past few days about the depth of her emotions. Her grief/brokeness are portrayed exquisitely, and I kept thinking, why? What could have happened to destroy Holly’s bright spirit? Now we know.I, for one, am glad I didn’t read Just Sayin’s comment about pregnancy (no offense meant). How much more visceral it is to be blindsided by this turn of events.. much like Wally is..

Has this strip ever dealt with the issues of endtowners reproducing? I wonder how that would turn out in a few generations. And what would Jacob’s position be on that?

My Endtown books arrived yesterday, and of course I began rereading. It was quite interesting seeing the characters back then with what I know of them now. Also, the “intermission” was a nice surprise. Well done, Aaron!

He is close enough to grab her but does he move or stay stunned. Not much else to say. My wife and I know how that hurts. She would have been 35. Enough for me. Out.(Don’t worry I am still watching.)

Wally didn’t know. Look at his face, he’s not angry or stunned. He’s just confused, like he doesn’t understand exactly what was said. He’s going to be one angry cat once Holly is safe. (She will be safe, right Aaron!?!)

Sorry yours ended and for your loss. I am just very devoted. I took the share, cried, and helped carried the burden. Its just one of those things that can happen. She survived but unable to conceive from that point on. I swore an oath. I will not break it for no man or beast. It says unto death. I am in for the long run.And you know Darwin. He means well but some guys have to be told. After all they don’t want to accidentally break those “rules”. You know the ones we don’t know about but are expected to follow. I was advised that the superior member of the species makes those rules and I will never divulge the secrets.

Look in the very first panel, bottom right corner. Someone/something is really kicking up dust. Now mosey on over to the Endtown auction site, scroll to near the bottom and donate somewhat fiercely. As I have speculated over at Doc Rat, “Lost the Babies” is open to interpretation. Someone may have taken her baby, or babies, to raise up after their own fashion, so their baby may return as a Mutant Moses. Joseph Campbell’s Hero With a Thousand Faces has parallel archetypes. Or maybe the people who took Holly & Wally’s baby or babies are going to put it on a rocketship to a friendly planet. The baby could be revered as a god.Meh, I don’t know. I do know a regular poster is conspicuously absent.VOTE!I’ll try to post link later, but just got a call to pick up my freshly neutered kitten.Holly will be okay, but when I went off that roof on Mercedes St(Edloe North of Southwest Freeway(59) in Houston I was broken up very badly. Also, people jump off the I-10 bridge near Lake Charles occasionally, and often live, although a 140 feet fall, there are usually quite broken, and take two or three years, especially if they miss the river.JusHoldin My Breath.

I think Darwinskeeper has asperer’sS. also. That would be one reason. I have it too, and sometimes I just don’t see what might be something someone who like things “in it’s place, and a place place for everything” type would walk in my place and see a sewing machine out, canvases and tubes of paint, and that sort of thing. I may have a book open to a page I was reading earlier,, It doesn’t bother me and I don’t see 5 bookcases of books and think "I need to go thru those books, look at my rock collection on my table,Sometimes I forget to brush my hair or washing my face, since I have an aversion to mirrors. But it helps if a friend comes over and point a few thing I can an d do and can complete. Some tasks are just to big to just start on. Also Wally being a loner that might even count, along with depression to the point that he can’t see what might be obvious to some one else.

Look at Holly’s left slipper in the last panel. A jumper would have just pushed off the railing. Holly is stepping down to the platform, albeit on the wrong side to let Wally snap to, and grab her if he still wants her. But don’t underestimate the two figures running to the clock tower in the last panel. I am more confident than whoever is racing to the tower. One is a lot larger than the other, so it could be Maude and Linda, but for some reason I think Gustine and someone, maybe Doc or Perry. As promised, before I picked up my shaved, neutered and disappointed with me kitten, here are the links: Vote ENDTOWN Vote ENDTOWN first generation Vote Doc Rat And donate to Aaron if you can. The cat and depressed mouse that live in his head, and 7000+ mutants are counting on you. Foodstuffs are running low, and Mallard is perfecting his hydroponic hemp, instead of real food.Confident Holly will live and psych issues will be her worst injury, which is not to downplay how crippling depression can be to our favorite little cartoon mouse. I’m reading this over a year late. I wonder if she knew that eating unpasteurized cheese is very dangerous for pregnant women. Seems like her dad would have told her. (I’d be amazed if the story actually goes in that direction. Anyway, reading on…)
