Okay maybe it’s working. There’s no way phelps would allow one student to have three lockers. She would be setting a precedent that would quickly get out of hand.
They have small lockers. When I was in high school we had full-height lockers, in a 4-year HS with over 2000 students. Just about every scrap of hallway wall that wasn’t stairwell, window, or door was covered with lockers.
Yeah, I only got here at 7:11, so I didn’t know it wasn’t up until then. .I don’t think I even used my locker Senior year and I definitely didn’t have one in any kind of special location.
Actually Tiff is an self absorbed snot. Girls like her in real life have only their good looks and when they fade away nothing is left but an empty shell.
“Seconds later a HORRIFIED Tiffany opened the Second Locker only to find the Severed head of one Leslie Knox.A Misguided but Ultimately WELCOMED Token of Love left by what will one day BE Her Future Husband, OX.”
I received the new comics on email much before they were finally loaded on the website. We had very small lockers in school and those too were in short supply. Phelps must have a real soft corner for Tiff!
I was wondering over at Ballard Street on what hour it was this time. 7:10 CST would be 5:11 Phoenix time (and sun came up right after 6 when I got out of bed). I have apricot tissue lame curtains on my bedroom windows which give morning light even more of a glow.
It’s just so funny that she can remember 3 different locker combinations, but perhaps cant remember 3 math problems in a row…. – And on the locker thing, I think this could also reflect how some have had the desire to see a wider locker…I’ve heard some say that though it was tall enough, there weren’t always room for music instruments or the like, and they had to carry them around for the day….
These schools should be less auto-cratic and more understanding…More progressive and less conservative…~~~~~~~~~~~~~The solution is to issue reasonable sized lockers and let the progressives rent larger lockers for all their “necessary” junk.
The solution is to issue reasonable sized lockers and let the progressives rent larger lockers for all their “necessary” junk.
Depends on how much space is available for such lockers
And, if I were a school admin (i.e. principal), I’m not so sure I’d want any particular student to have more storage space than is “necessary” to be at school, and no more than the other kids. Goodness knows what the student might want to keep in that locker as “inventory…” 8-O
when I was a young’un in HS, members of the Rifle Team would bring their guns and stash them in their locker until time for their meeting /practice. Also, it wasn’t unusual for hunters to bring their rifles in on the first day of deer season.
Were they also allowed to store the ammo in that same locker? Or was it “regulated,” somehow? We had rifle teams as well, but both guns and ammo were tightly controlled. If students were allowed to bring their own, they were not allowed to store them in their lockers. The range was off campus, anyway, so there really wouldn’t be a need to bring the guns on campus.
Several thoughts which followed each other as I read the strip and then the comments:1) What a shame Tiff doesn’t have a locker for school supplies – she doesn’t have room in that purse for books & homework.2) Luann: Location, location, location;Tiffany: Priorities, priorities, priorities.3) Schools don’t make lockers very tall or wide so that it’s more difficult to stuff a student inside his locker.
Well is people can cut down on breeding there wouldn’t be overcrowded classrooms and with less students that means everyone can have a top and bottom locker, with the top for books and the bottom for boots, coats, etc.

Funny true locker storyIn HS ALL the lockers were full-size, however, in Jr HS, we had the half lockers, I shared mine with one of the tallest girls in school; and since I was so short, I naturally took the bottom half. Well, one day, I was in my locker getting my crap, oblivious to what was going on above me (J*** came, a couple minutes later, to get things out of HER top half); well, I got my books and stood up , and just her luck, she was wearing a skirt, which I popped up into…I don’t know which one of us was more surprised!!! (Fortunately, J was a pretty easy-going person, neither of us ever mentioned it again)
The solution is to issue reasonable sized lockers and let the progressives rent larger lockers for all their “necessary” junk.-Why? So the smartasses can lock the freshmen inside?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Only if you consider freshmen as necessaary junk.
In my high school, we shared lockers, too. And my very first leather jacket vanished. The person I had to share a locker with denied any knowledge of where it went. Last time I bothered taking anything decent to HS.
With Columbine, Aurora, etc., can you even begin to think of that these days? But the NRA is, unfortunately, capable of lobbying successfully for ANYTHING to pass.^^Unfortunately is right, glad we never let them come up to Canada (They’ve tried)
No wonder the USA has so many gun deaths …. no, not from MY generation, which knew how to teach gun safety. Can’t speak to your’s.^^As for generations, I’m 52, we can’t be THAT far apart… in philosophy, we are miles apart! :p
it’s a different world and different culture out there now. If you’re not brought up from the beginning with an inherant sense of the value of a life, and respect for things that can be deadly, and instead treat everything like a video-game with no consequences, then you can’t expect to have the freedoms that come with responsibility.^^Here in Canada, we know better than to make gun ownership a “right” (Which it isn’t, except in the case of a militia, even there in the States…not to mention, it’s an amendment, which should be revolked)
“Tiffany needs one more locker named VANITY” Or an overall sign hung up over her 3 (which is entirely non-plausible) lockers which says the same thing only this time with blinking lights… ;)
I wonder what the Tiffster said during that little chat with Miss Phelps? What mysterious hold does Tiffany have over the older single lady? —Get your minds out of the gutter, You Know Who You Are….
This would never happen. Ever. At least, not in real life. Can you imagine the stampede of “women scorned” who felt as though they deserved the same privileges?
When my kids were in school (1984-2007), lockers were forbidden. The reason, the district said, was because kids leave rotten bananas in them. Yeah, sure. They were either removed or were barred off. Towards the end of that time, some schools began to allow them. Meanwhile, my kids drug around backpacks that weigh 40+ lbs. in middle and high school, and probably 15-20 lbs. in elementary school.
Here is what I gathered today from the comments: Tiffany needs 4 MORE lockers, to keep her ego/vanity, her rifles, her school supplies, and the deer she downs with her rifle at recess. Also, Luann will be very pissed off, if Quill gets the locker under one of Tiffany’s and isn’t careful to avoid her skirt when standing up. Oh yeah, and Metal maiden would have been first today if she didn’t hit the snooze button.

Highly unlikely. In many schools today there aren’t enough lockers to go around so students share or do without.

Ok all’s well, albeit a little late. TIffany is being her usual narcissistic self, and the cartoon finally loaded. Maybe it was just a glitch.

And most schools forbid putting anything on the outside of the locker door…

And of course, with three lockers, Tiffany still has no room for books, pens, paper, or other typical ‘school supplies’ :)

Tiffany’s outfit would not be allowed in most high schools. In ours the shoulders and stomach must be covered.
And why would Ms. Phelps help her out? Did she blackmail or threaten her?
