Pity the poor teacher who is stuck teaching Danae two years in a row!

Time to rethink that early retirement offer…

Why did I want to go into teaching ? What was I thinking ?

Why do people like you and Omnius persist in trying to read something into it that isn’t there but fits your warped political perspectives ?

And I’d be the first in line to buy all the tickets for everyone behind me. The fight and the beer’s on me !!

Danae embodies the best (or worst) in all of us whether she is being egocentric, greedy, irresponsible, disrespectful, outright delusional or whatever.

She has too many character flaws to be a lovable rouge and only her cartoon age keeps us from totally loathing her. Were she real and an adult, she would be universally despised. However as a cartoon character we can see our (well others’ – I am perfect, you are good, we’re really talking about other people here) faults in her and laugh at them.

@ Omnius & firebrand1: There is a time and place — even in this particular comic — for politics. This is NOT it. Neither of you are helping your case — or evoking any sympathy from the rest of us — when you try to drag this strip or it’s characters into the political mud.

I think this argues for arming teachers with tasers…

I think Danae is far too bright for the tea party.
