I enjoyed it. I didn’t see it coming or try to figure out what the pun would be ahead of time. And I laughed out loud…scaring the cats as I did. Thank you, Mr. Pastis. There’s not enough silliness in the world.

I love the puns and look forward to them. This is a great comic!

~The joke is to realize the pun, and how it makes sense yet happens to be flat. Then to see how Rat reacts in light of it being flat. Pastis does this several times. The joke isn’t supposed to be based on the pun itself. Just for those who don’t get it or dislike it.

I could not agree more allurophile17.You know your 60’s music, However, altho Clark was easily their best song writer, McGuinn was still always their leader.

If it were a country joke, then Rat probably would have created an injury situation with “workplace violins.”

I think it’s great, such a mind capable of this type of thinking.
