You all are so much better than today’s strip . . . it is because of you (all) that I put up with the “lame” puns. :-D
blunebottle almost 11 years ago
…..we’ll all hang a name on you, Pastis…..
Sisyphos almost 11 years ago
If I had a bottle of ink right now, and a paper copy of today’s lame ‘toon, I’d paint it black.Misuse of a Rolling Stone brings gloom and doom.I have no sympathy for you, you devil!

Even though it gave me the Moody Blues, at least he worked the Kinks out, now I feel Experienced knowing I won’t walk around like a Zombie trying to Guess Who.

This pun actually made me laugh out loud!I work for a Classic Hits station, and this is going on the wall of KOOL 107.9!

The best puns are the ones that make you groan, then laugh…
CogentModality almost 11 years ago
He must have been Eight Miles High when he came up with this.
Gumbo_Limbo almost 11 years ago
I enjoyed it. I didn’t see it coming or try to figure out what the pun would be ahead of time. And I laughed out loud…scaring the cats as I did. Thank you, Mr. Pastis. There’s not enough silliness in the world.

Wait, what? No more PBS originals after 2015? Say it isn’t so!!

Action figurines would not shatter like that. Maybe he should have referred to ceramic collectibles, instead.

WHERE ARE THE CROCS???
ThomasJWrobel almost 11 years ago
Don’t cry over spilled Mick.
A_NY_Outlaw almost 11 years ago
I tend to wonder if Pastis needs to be ‘stoned’ to write this stuff…

Looks as though Rat is channeling his inner John Hiatt. “Perfectly Good Guitar.”Maybe even a nod to James Marshall Hendrix?
Thehag almost 11 years ago
I love the puns and look forward to them. This is a great comic!

~The joke is to realize the pun, and how it makes sense yet happens to be flat. Then to see how Rat reacts in light of it being flat. Pastis does this several times. The joke isn’t supposed to be based on the pun itself. Just for those who don’t get it or dislike it.

humulos almost 11 years ago
Huh. That exact same joke was on 30 Rock. Season 7, Episode 6, at 10:53.
Francis Flynn Premium Member almost 11 years ago
I could not agree more allurophile17.You know your 60’s music, However, altho Clark was easily their best song writer, McGuinn was still always their leader.
Noah121 almost 11 years ago
If it were a country joke, then Rat probably would have created an injury situation with “workplace violins.”
rcdrake almost 11 years ago
I think it’s great, such a mind capable of this type of thinking.

Or to go in another direction …
Big news item recently, where a falcon flew down into a rock concert, ending the lives of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards.
Killed two Stones with one bird.
