I think this is who Quill is…he is very easygoing, and also accepting of a lot… but it also seems that Greg is trying to fit him into the strip, and make it so that “everything works out fine” for him… – But, like OTR, I expect that everybody’s habits there will be the source of gags throughout his stay… and whatever quirks between them… and, of course, the privacy issue…..

@LeviticusGuess he does not see the picture of Luann. Or else he is ignoring the picture of Luann.-What Quill would probably notice about the picture of Luann is that there is no picture of Rosa also in the room. Quill is wisely keeping his mouth shut on the subject. He was around in the pre-Rosa years and he might not have missed how incredibly jealous Gunther got back during their time on West Side Story.

Yes, and Quill will certainly think Gunther put the picture there (unless Luann told him about it earlier). That would strike me as weird, if I were the Qster—why would Gunther put a pic of my GF at my bedside, a girl who Gunther was once crazy about? Oh well, that issue (who put the pic there) is easily sorted out.

Bug, or wireless webcam?

Gunther, you’re still missing a few Australian cliches. You need to work in Crocodile Dundee, Tasmanian devils, Fosters lager, Outback steakhouse, and boomerangs.

Maybe the booting missing on the jack is the basis for further gags!?

Maybe he will figure out Gunther makes a better wife than Luann…Less demanding, better housekeeper.

I’m calling it here and now on October 22. Gunther will eventually drive Quill crazy, kind of a comic strip take on The Odd Couple. This will lead Quill to leave and move into the DeGroot home, much to the consternation of Daddy DeGroot.

Gunth definitely wants something from Q. Romance…Bromance… I dunno. I don’t want to make a call on his “preferences” merely by what we’ve seen, so far. It could very well be that Gunth is just “overdoing” his try at gaining all of Q’s “manly” secrets from him (i.e how better to score with ladies, perhaps even Lu herself). The picture could simply be “mis-direction.” And we haven’t seen the far side G’s side of the room, so Rosa might still be there somewhere. Also, it could simply be Gunth trying to secure a “big brotherly” thing from Q. I dunno.

I can see why, to the untrained eye, it might appear that Gunth’s “preferences” are going in a particular direction, but I’m not willing to go with them. But he definitely wants something from Q. I guess we’ll see what that is, soon enough.

Really should have gone with the “Mad Max” theme, Gunth…

Do you think in Quill’s delirium from lack of sleep, things might get a little crazy between Gunth and Quill once the lights go out?

Nah. Quill is tired, but not that tired. :) Remember, Quill is 18 and Gunth is still (probably) 17… If only for that reason…

I hope Quill teaches Gunther how to man up ( : .

Beg to differ – I have one, keep it on all the time, and it always sends up multiple small clumps. Maybe the balance of chemicals in yours is off?

Then why would he bother to have Quill share a long kiss with Luann at his good bye party? Misdirection?

Chamber, throne room, inner sanctum……NOT “man cave”!Men – real men – are above such things as “caves.”

Quill will probably have to have a little talk with Gunther, setting him straight on a few issues (like, not smothering him with Aussie stereotypes; maybe Q would prefer to immerse himself in the American culture and enjoy the local color; etc.). Kind of like he had to tell Tiff off, only more kindly. Gunther told us why he’s excited to have Quill there—Q would be like a brother, and G expects they will be able to do things…although what things he never said. Definitely not sewing or magic; something “manned up”, I think we can gather, whatever G thinks that could be. And enquiring minds do want to know. Luann will get most of Q’s scarce spare time, unless they double date with G and Rosa a lot. Or whatever. Can’t see this ending well. I still say Quill will end up moving in with TJ and Brad.

I can believe Quill and Gunther will have a “heart to heart” about Luann and Rosa, with Gunther admitting to Quill that his obsession with Luann was a thing of the past, and tho she’ll always be special for him, his love interest now is Rosa.

Depending on where Greg wants the drama, you may very well be right, Dave53. That would be very mature of Gunther, and I don’t see him being that mature. Easiest (and easy) way out, for sure.

And all that time, I kept mulling over Koalas and didn’t think to use it or Qantas in a sentence!….

That would be kinda tough, since some Aussie bands are actually migrated from England and US, and some are from Australia but more popular here than there, and some are individual performers, but not bands… but if one were to lump them all together, you’d have more than ten… and you are more of the “countdown” type… can’t speak for everybody else with an interest in this, but I’d be more of a “lessee how many are there?” kind of person, myself….

Maybe Gunth could trade lamps? Looks like Luann has competition…but, not being able to check out Quill’s shared bedroom, what she doesn’t know won’t hurt her… ;)

It finally occurs to me that perhaps Quill and Gunther hashed out the “Gunther was into Luann but no more, she’s all yours now” issue BEFORE Mom Berger agreed to host Quill. Finally, a scenario that makes sense. :)

“Gunth is neither gay or bi.” Finally, we get the Right descriptive answer for who Gunther Really is… ;)
