Whoever said that money can’t buy happiness severely underestimated the satisfaction supplied by toys, women, and a full stomach.

Kids are definitely not free, although they are one of the best things in my life.

The concept is much much older than that play.

You say that the concept is wrong? Speaking of monetary cost only I would say you are dead wrong. Love is free. The beauty of the world around us is free. I could go on, but you get the idea.

“…….. “Good money” meant that the money was worth what it said it was worth.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I was way off on that one. I thought ‘good money’ meant ‘ample money,’As in " You gotta earn good money to afford hokey for your kids."

Oh, whoever said ‘the best things in life are free’ had it right, long before the musical.

I expect that’s why the uber rich are so miserable, mean spirited and greedy. They lack those free things which make life worth living, and as with so many things, misery loves company. Why should anybody be happier than they are? They have the means and power to see that doesn’t happen.

    Misery loves company.

The “bad” money you speak of is really a TOKEN, such as our money since 1964.

Reminds me of the year all my pullover sweaters got “too small” for me. Folks got a good laugh when my mom had me put one on and show them what I meant.
