Any catastrophe you can walk away from is still a catastrophe. However, that apron she’s wearing may finally come in useful. The question is whether a raygun blast set to stun can work as a local anesthetic.

Discounting variances in anatomy, she’s holding what would be described as her humorous proximal to the midpoint. One of the easier limbs to care for when you don’t have access to a hospital. In many cases sling & swath keeping the affected wrist high will allow the bone to heal well- even without a cast. As Three Steps Over Japan noted, that apron’s gonna be handy.

That said, one has to respect the fact that Aaron does tend to write on the soft side of science fiction. The whole grenade driving a pneumatic elevator out of the ground is fairly ridiculous, and don’t even get me started on a mutagenic virus that can drastically alter a person’s size/appearance in less than a minute. The thing is that the writing and artwork are both top notch, the characters are believable and you can go from hating a character to feeling sorry for them in a heartbeat. I guess I can read Arthur C. Clarke if I want hard science fiction.
There’s a chance the Topsiders might make a deal with them, if there’s a situation where both Topsiders and mutants are threatened and Wally and Holly can help resolve it. They might be getting the theoretical Krupp from the Topsiders to help with the mission.
Expected. a Bunch of “figure out it”. Enjoy your factors but I don’t understand a word of it. She has an under skirt doesn’t she? good for a support. Blessed Be
“1) We don’t know how many ditto units there are.2) Are they just given out?”If Mallard gave Wally the full ditto ball, then there should be enough to create a “cammo tent” at least 10-20 feet in diameter. Since the dittos are very, very thin, they have a large surface area. At this point, though, if Holly can’t travel, my guess would be that the wreckage gets covered by dittos, and Wally spends the next week burying it in the dust so they don’t have to split up the ditto ball when they finally do leave.
“If the sat is in sync orbit all was seen so even if it is covered up they would have the coordinates plotted on go on from there. The dittos have limits.”If the explosion was spotted by the satellite, Holly and Wally are dead in the water. There might be an ace in the hole (3 actually), but everything depends on what Aaron decides on next.

Not surprising since Holly has had a poorer than usual diet for the last month.Takes more than a few days of bed rest to recover.
