Rotten potatoes. They get soft inside, but the skin in intact, so you inadvertently put your thumb into it. The reek in unimaginable, and it won’t wash off your hands for several days.
Backed up sewer water in the basement. My old house had municipal storm and sewer lines combined in the old days – so until I had a backflow valve installed, it backed up regularly. I had the sole “honor” of all the cleanup with lots of Pinesol and hoses was glad to see the last of those high bootsSorry, Bev, but I had 4 children and washed all those cloth diapers- none could compare! I also cleaned out that waterfall only in late spring (before a fresh fill) and the plant material could get pretty funky too, but I learned to think of it as good fertilizer and used it by the buckets around the garden. Oh yeah- my Xs vomit when he’d had too much to drink (if he even tried he’d start again). You HAD to know I’d be graphic!
Trust me, they are aptly named! And you have to wash your hands several, several times to get rid of the stench if you squish them in a tissue paper or something.

For the record, William “Will” Smith (played by Willard “Will” Smith) didn’t pay rent while he stayed in his relatives’ Bel-Air mansion.

An open-air leather tanning operation in Morocco. I’m unable to come up with the words to do the stench justice.

Smell’s also not so bad if you have the fish stuffed and mounted. Just an idea.

I can’t stand the smell of an orange when someone is peeling it.

A half carton of milk left on my cottage counter for 5 days in the middle of summer. Word of advice. “Don’t open it, just throw it out!”

The time my son got sick after eating yogurt. Happened in the bathroom and stunk up the whole house.
