Jason: It's 3:00 a.m. Equip your night vision goggles. Paige: AAAA! There's like an entire battalion camped out here! Jason: Don't panic. Remember the tutorial. Check your inventory. Paige: Keys...Credit cards...Gum...Ah, here we go! Cellphone! Page: Is this that new Call of Duty Mod? Jason: Yeah. "Black Friday Ops." Paige: But wait...if I call in an air strike, won't that hurt the beachwear?

3 am? Could be worse. Black Friday is apparently starting at 6 pm Thanksgiving Day at Walmart this year. Iām so very glad I donāt work there anymore.

Working my regular hospital job this Friday ā gratefully not in the ER this week. Forget what I did last year; two years ago my shopping was for bird seed at A&C Feeds, where for all I know A rang me up and C carried the bag to my car, or vice versa, then ordered a book for my wife at City News ā both locally owned.

I always volunteer to work on the big holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, et al) so someone with local family can have the day off with their loved ones: mine are 1200 miles away. This year, I accepted an invite to an āorphansā Thanksgiving and will be there all day. The hostess fell at work and messed up her back. Wish me luck on the potatoes (sweet and white).
