Actually, the Republicans did engage in calculated sabotage of the ACA, from the crafting the bill all the way to starving the HHS of funds to build a functioning the website to ensure a roll-out failure. They also intimidated sponsors, such as the NFL, to deter them from positive advertising of the ACA and purposely overburdened the local hospitals and non-profits with unneeded queries to prevent them from helping consumers navigate the new system to the point that many returned their federal grants and gave up, which was the sole intent of the queries in the first place. In red states, such as mine, the system was further sabotaged by the refusal to set up exchanges, providing absolutely no information on how to enroll through the federal exchanges and placing undue restrictions on the navigators to prevent them from helping consumers enroll in the ACA, period. Now, the Republicans have the unmitigated gall to blame the Obama administration for the problems of the ACA rollout. Hypocrisy doesn’t even begin to describe their actions.

obama care is just like the failed hillarycare except it was sold with the premeditated and knowling “big lie” that people could keep their current coverage and doctors. now we know that millions will lose their current coverage and the next bomb is United Heath Care, to be followed by other providers, have announced they are removing thousands of doctors from their in-network list. The biggest bomb will come when corporations and major employers will drop all their employee healthcare coverage and tell folks to go get obamacare from the government.

We don’t even know what Hillarycare was, it got little or no debate, unlike the ACA. Whatever it was, either one is much better than what we’ve been stuck with for decades.

Wow, Trudeau went after the ACA and Obama at the same time, showing that Obama refuses to negotiate or compromise, hates fiscal responsibility, and has no leadership ability, but plenty of ‘pass the buck’ ability.

If healthcare reform was easy, it would have been passed long ago. Passing along the ER bill to the rest of us when people can’t afford care is not a great plan for anyone. Medical debt can ruin people’s lives. Something had to be done. Having a preexisting condition and being turned down care was not working either. The status quo was not working.

No, they read some of the words, just not all of them and as a result, some parts disagree with other parts..

Normally, that would have been worked out prior to passage but those were not normal times. The will of The People had voted out many supporters and they were forced to pass it ere those left office or hammer out something acceptable to the new majority. ?

THAT was unacceptable to the old majority.AND THE BEAT GOES ON

Trudeau has the right to skewer whoever he wants to skewer. Don’t like it? Find another strip! There are many of them to choose from. I don’t comment to please right wingers. I don’t care if they don’t like my views. It is fine with me if they don’t.

“Had Obama taken up to 4 months to read The ACA, he would have Vetoed it and told Congress to work on a Single Payer Plan as that is the only plan he would sign.”

Your GOP would have had Obama in the stocks had he spent 4 months reading anything at all … certainly your boy Bush didn’t read anything while he was in office – except story books to children.

It’s been decades since Congress has read anything it voted on. If they ever did -

60 Minutes is in deep doo doo thanks to their erroneous report on Benghazi. The amazon drone concept was fascinating. As an amazon prime member, I can see potential with that. I hope they expand their amazon grocery market. Ordering groceries online sounds great. It would help many people.

I agree. The ACA was modeled on RomneyCare, which was dreamed up by the Heritage Foundation as so-called “health care reform”, but was in reality a gift to the insurance companies. Romney tried to scuttle away from that inconvenient truth during his failed campaign for the presidency, but truth it was. However, true to form, the MSM covered nothing but the insane ravings of Sister Sarah and her death panels, which we know do exist, they’re called insurance companies. The ACA will go a long way towards alleviating some of the more egregious transgressions of the insurance companies, but doesn’t come close to single payer, which most of the civilized world accepts as the superior form of health care, having lower costs and better outcomes.

Obama is and always was farther right than center and he has disappointed and infuriated me too many times to count, but the Democratic leadership also has a very large slice of the blame pie, with respect to single payer. Single payer never made it to negotiation table because the Democrats were so intent on achieving bi-partisan passage and they knew the Republicans would never countenance it. They then allowed the GOP to insert poison pills into the bill, even though they had no intention of voting for it, for the same unattainable goal of bi-partisanship. This should never have been allowed to happen. Obama and the entire Democratic party also failed monumentally to counter the smear campaign being perpetrated by the Koch brothers and their PAC’s, Americans for Prosperity and Freedomworks, but then MSM had no intention of actually reporting the truth, since their sole purpose is to provide an outlet for right-wing lunacy and provide cover for the unloyal opposition. Crazy grabs ratings too, so why report the boring truth when you have gun-toting imbeciles screaming for the government to keep its paws off their social security.

I’m the one who’s blind? Please. Have you been paying the slightest attention to the state of our politics these days? Had the Democrats ignored Nancy Pelosi we wouldn’t even have the small step towards single payer that we have, flawed though it is. The Republicans stated that their only goal was to bring down Obama and if they had to bring down the entire country to do it, that was fine by them. Please refer to Civics 101 and perhaps you will have a better understanding of how our government works, or rather is supposed to work. Our government has practically ceased to function thanks to the mindless obstruction of the GOP. The Democrats do share some blame for allowing the GOP to control the negotiations, but to claim that they are 1000% to blame is beyond ludicrous.

You fools(my allies and friends) have slept too damn long.
