    Oui. Mais certainement.

I’m willing to give Brad points for enthusiasm but he’s still talking in bumper stickers. Bumper stickers from a Hallmark shop, even. I hope these two are prepared to deal cooperatively and creatively with the harsher parts of marriage, but they’re showing more enthusiasm than sense here. Don’t get me wrong, I wish them well!

I vote for Toad, but pronounced in two syllables.

Of course they have their own mugs and chairs. They have their own drinks to imbibe and can’t sit on top of each other! And toothbrushes and cars, as the first is not sanitary and the second is often necessary to go in different directions at the same time. And clothing unless they both are either androgynous or cross-dressers…

In the Upper Mid Atlantic, we say “wes”, “yous” and “an dems” (like it’s plural, with a z)… -Maybe Rivers Cuomo would be kinds glad, then, becaus, then Brad could say "We could be ‘weez-ers’ "…

It still also sounds like he was saying they could be “we-ers”, like he’s proud that they can go #1 all by themselves. . I think Toni thought about that, as well as other things…

Will the “we-ers” become “ex-es” in 2014? Brad may be too much of a clinging vine for Toni’s wishes. She’s probably not accustomed to a relationship that gives her so little breathing room. It may remind her of Dirk’s attempts to control her.

I’ve seen how it can happen, where two people going into a marriage with the “this is mine, this is yours” approach… not as in chairs, cups, etc., but as in bank accounts, house (s), other things. They basically ran around with their friends all of the time, after work… barely spent any time together (if at all ), spent their money, but expected their mates to just use their money on them, and they felt they didnt have to reciprocate… as if their husbands was just a meal ticket, and no emotional bonding, some dont even share things physically… and I wonder, sort of rhetorically, why did you even bother to get married?… Its almost as if they insist on keeping things seperate, just in case … and before they got married, they must’ve put on some kind of act, being pretty charming… I’ve seen some guys who don’t share themselves in various ways, as well… – But it’s refreshing to see that it’s not like that everywhere! I also know couples (including the Mrs. and I, among others) who enjoy doing things together, and can balance between enjoying private space and time and enjoying their mate, as well… through good weather and bad… that’s part of the fun!… A life partner, and someone that can be closer than a friend…

Just wait- you’ll have all the wee-ing you want once you get a baby or a dog (like Puddles).*BTW, you all are influential. Following the discussion the first of the week about the correct way to hand toilet paper, the commenter who enumerated the list of reasons for front unrolling was convincing.*So yesterday, for the first time in my life, I hung the roll to unfurl from the front. (But for the record, having germ-tainted hands touch the wall was unconvincing— hands are not germ-tainted until the toilet paper has been used.)

I think the November 10 strip shows that Toni thinks that their life will be that of two individuals together, whereas Brad thinks that they will become a single Bradandtoni. Unless they resolve this basic difference, they are in for a bumpy (at best) relationship.

Greg is sayinf they are so ready to be parents. That story line might take another 10 years to show up, but it’s coming.
