Evidently, Ray is from one of those churches that doesn’t believe in overpaying their pastor, so he has to raise his own dinner.

Well, now that that I’ve read today strip I’m off to read old Dick Tracy comic strips on Google Drive that date back to the Moon Period.

Something tells me that Rev. Ray Tracy is not going to be around to perform another Tracy wedding. This isn’t good!

Readers have likely noted that the STRIP is currently doing the - Tracy family, and happily (with innovation) - ‘mixing in’, the Gould family names. Today we have Chet’s “letterer” (and Brother) Ray Gould appearing as a pastor - Ray Tracy !

.Found this article of an uncheduled visit by the Shel Dorf family, to Gould’s farm home, just outside Woodstock. Shel (now deceased) - - was a life time fan / DT strip collector, and professionally the letterer for Milton Canif’s ‘Steve Canyon’ - comic strip

Shel, was also the Editor (and ‘strip’ provider) for the entire run of the Blackthorne’s Dick Tracy - comic series.An impressive ‘chunk’ of Chet Gould’s DT work

I was fortunate to have enjoyed some correspondence with him at that time.

In today’s strip, we see Rev. Ray Tracy (a ‘look-alike’ of brother Ray Gould) . . .

Had a relative who pastored a church in Paradise Michigan for several years. He was then moved to a church in Hell. Michigan.

He never did decide whether that was a promotion or not….

I wonder if other friends and family members of Tracy will get similar invitations.

Hmmmm…..don’t think Kadaver is dumb enough to kill a man of the cloth, taking on God, lol. Hostage seems about right. Of course, this saves BB Eyes (separated at birth from Mister Magoo?) since that’d make him second on the list and we all know Abner’s going down while trying to kill Tracy.

I liked Belle. Rikki I hope gets killed off….to me they’re not the same at all somehow.

Finally…..how do the Blackhearts know Tracy is being killed? Their contracts with Kadaver are for apparatus members….Stilettas is for Tracy. Hmmmm…..and she was last seen hanging with BB and company….meaning….logically speaking, that mystery woman next to Melies would have TO be Stiletta – wouldn’t it?
