Who is the red hair?

That would be Margaret Mitchell, Dennis the Menace’s squeeze (at least on her part)

Oh my God, this is fun stuff! LOVED Little Lulu and Wendy when I was a kid! :-D But while I’ve recognized almost every retro character so far, I don’t recognize the redhead either.
I’d like to see Hot Stuff, the Little Devil!!

That would be Margaret from “Dennis the Menace”.
Finally! Nancy meets Little Lulu! (Along with Little Audrey, Lisa Simpson, Dot Flagston from “Hi and Lois”, Wendy the Good Little Witch and the aforementioned Margaret.)

Thanks, folks, I had no idea who Margaret was. Still can’t bring her to mind. Oh, anyone remember Nightmare, the ghost horse? And Spooky the ghost? :-) Little Dot, Richie Rich? Mutt and Jeff?
WSR almost 11 years ago
Always loved Spooky the ghost. Only girl missing from this slumber party is Gina Gillotti, tomboy and the girl Dennis Mitchell actually likes.

Great strip today! But where’s Little Dot & not so little Lotta?

I was feeling bad that Patty-Cake never got famous enough to be included- but I’m surprised at how many people don’t know Margaret from DENNIS THE MENACE. Gee, nobody from PEANUTS either, so I’m not alone. (at least today.)

Nancy’s about to find out the truth — she’s 80-something years old and will never age nor be seen in three dimensions! Yeah — let’s party!

Too bad Harvey comic books are no longer printed. They are missed. Thank you for the memories, Guy. Little Lotta and Little Dot must be on Wendy’s left. :)

Hey Guy,
I just wanted to say that I’ve been enjoying these past comic strips and the memories they bring. It’s good to see “Lulu” and the “Captain and the Kids” again (It’s hard to spell Katzamjammer? kids!)
With all the comic girls around (No crabby Lucy Van Pelt though!) it would be fun to see a “Lio” "Crash this Party! But then again, I think these girls would win by giving a “makeover” Lio would never forget!
This is a fun adventure to read! Thanks guy!

Wow, these have all been great! Guy has done a wonderful job. When I was an avid reader of these comic books around age 10 and before, I often wondered if different comic book characters could ever meet each other. Now 50 years later I find out they do… a childhood question finally answered. I always thought that Wendy and especially Gloria from Richie Rich were the prettiest girls in the comics. I also particularly enjoyed seeing Rat Fink and few days back; I think he came along a bit later, when I was about 12.

Guy enough cannot be said of how awesome this side trip through memory lane has been with all the classic characters. Thanks again.

I think the girl with the red hair is Audrey. It’s great to relive these past comics and cartoons again! I wonder if Underdog and his crew will show up? This should get Guy a Ruben nomination if not the award.
Jim Kerner almost 11 years ago
I am wrong. That’s not Audrey. Sorry. I think that might be Margaret from Dennis the Menace.

Charles Schulz would have been 91 today…I am surprised there’s not a peanut’s character in today’s strip.

Talk about an all-star cast … including Lisa Simpson, from my absolute favorite TV show. Woo-hoo!

Little Audrey started out as a way for Paramount-owned Famous Studios to make animated cartoons of almost-but-not-quite Little Lulu without paying royalties. But the really important version of Little Lulu wasn’t the animated version, but the comic-book version, created by the immortal John Stanley, who also created Oona and the Yo-yos for the comic-book version of Nancy. Seeing all of them together here is a little weird.

Little Lulu also had a friend named Gloria, whom one Independence Day Lulu decided should go in to see the fireworks after her, Annie, and another girl whose name I’d have to look up because it was the “Gloria’s Fourth”.
gcarlson almost 11 years ago
My favorite Little Audrey memory was the time she politely declined an invitation from the grocer to take a handful of cherries, but gratefully accepted the handful he gave her. He had bigger hands.
