It would be simpler if they advertised Christmas sales 24/7 all year round. Hey, why miss an opportunity?

Gosh. We start Christmas shopping right after Halloween here. Sometimes before. But then, we don’t have the tradition of rioting the day after Thanksgiving, on Black Friday.

Christmas shopping is ok 365 days a year. Christmas advertising needs to wait until after Thanksgiving.

Today – the day AFTER Thanksgiving – is always the day I do my decorating. I don’t “do” Black Friday at all. This year we got a little Charlie Brown tree; I can’t wait to put it up next to our Nativity!

The big question is will rocking around the Christmas tree stop the day after Christmas or do we have to put up with it until after New Years ?

The writers don’t know what they are talking about. There have already been Christmas sales for a while now.

The Christmas Season begins with the First Sunday of Advent and ends at the Feast of the Epiphany. Perhaps you were unaware of this, n’est-ce pas?

No, he means it is okay NOW, rather than what some were doing these previous three months. But, to be honest, I’m part of the problem. I bought a string of Christmas lights Wednesday, not for decoration but to provide heat for my kumquat tree. Nice fruit.

I disagree. The day after Thanksgiving should be used for rest, as well as rememberance of the country’s history. Come Saturday, that’s when it’s okay to commercialize the crap out of the holidays (Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s, and whatever else anyone celebrates in December).
