Luann: "Merry Christmas, Quill"
Quill: "A snow globe!"
Luann: "I had it custom-made. The photo inside is your home, Kiama. It's summer there, winter here, so- well, this sorta brings them together"
Quill: "Like this?"
Luann: "Mmm. Exactly"
Why would she have wrinkles, sheās in er mid to late 30ās?^^Brad is now somewhere in his early 20s, so, Nancy had him when she was between 10 & 15yrs old?
Why would she have wrinkles, sheās in er mid to late 30ās?^^Brad is now somewhere in his early 20s, so, Nancy had him when she was between 10 & 15yrs old?
This is true!ā¦. along with the tilt (23.4 degrees) with one hemisphere towards and one away from the sunā¦.ā Also, in respect to the amounts of daylight, it is equal, but the āmeasure of heat intensityā is what I was trying to describe as āthe seasonsāā¦.
Luann is being mighty cleverā wearing mistletoe on (if not over) her head, so she can kiss whomever she likes, whenever she likes.*In case you missed it, check out Luann Againn todayā a special guest appearance, by someone who has also improved with age!*BTW, Iām Christian but didnāt go to church Tues. or Wed. either. Too exhausted! As kids we think holidays ājust happenā. As adults, we realize that celebrations are Made!*And thanks yesterday to the many ways to say āMerry Christmasā. And to our Canadian friends, āHappy Boxing Dayā.
@milania: āYou keep Christmas in your way, and let me keep it in mine.ā@activist1234: Iām pretty sure thatās supposed to be holly, not mistletoe. I donāt think mistletoe has red berries. Besides, Luann has never really struck me as a āWhoever she likes, whenever she likesā kind of girl. True, she generally falls hard when she falls, but itās never casual or immediate. And, in the immortal words of John Lennon: āHappy Chrimble, one and all!ā
That thing Luann has around her neck. Why does she not take it to a Pawn shop? I bet she could get almost a nickle for it=====Come on. Is that all youāve got? You can do better than thatā¦.
Well, though today is an off day, I guess Iāll fill in really quick for some of the parts since many are enjoying their āLuannā day off, like meā¦ well, except for now, since Iāll volunteer to fill in for different parts, for āentertainmentās sakeā, LOL!ā¦ That way, thereāll be something for someone who may look on here and wonder where everybody isā¦ ā K, Iāll do a āGrumpy, Negative Trollā in redand the āTroll keeperā who feeds and cares for it, in purpleUhā¦. actually, I think some stuff was already covered, and those are the only two that hasnāt been done, yetā¦..
" get my little Kubota tractor, put the blade on the front, drive it through the house and push all the wrapping, boxes, and garbage out the service entrance."*Brdshttā I canāt believe you would be so environmentally negligent! We all must carefully smooth out the wrapping paper, carefully remove the bows (best to tape them on so they can be removed more easily), so they can be re-used NEXT year. Cut off the pretty part of cards to use either as decorations or to send to hungry children for craft projects (reallyā I get letters asking me to do this, plus a monetary donation.)*P.S. I made a Wellington Orange cake for dessert rather than piesā huge cake with lots left overā guess Iād better go back to pies next year.BTW- Per leftoversā turkey tastes much better in mid-January. Freeze it today to serve when YOU are no longer stuffed.
Wikipedia says that the coldest month in Kiama, Australia, is July, and the average temperature in that coldest month is a high of 62.4 degrees F and a low of 47.3 degrees F. So Kiama is never really cold. I suspect neither Pitt nor Kiama ever get snow, so the snow globe is a rather curious choice of a gift.
ālittle Kubota tractor, put the blade on the front, drive it through the house and push all the wrapping, boxes, and garbage out the service entrance.ā Iāve been waiting for the Roomba to offer a front loader option.
====== itās her way of giving the message that like those two elements, they (cue me shuddering) somehow should ābelong togetherāā¦
=======Well, maybe, but I think you might be attributing a more profound philosophy to something that was possibly just a more light-hearted effort to show Quill that he had two āhomesā nowā¦.
However yāall want to nitpick this to deathā¦ ^Since it was quiet here, today, it seemed like a good time to āexerciseā the old āminutia machineāa bit, and allā¦ ā Itās sometimes nice to go out for a stroll and not know which way you want to walkā¦. or to take a road trip without planning it out, and just see where the road takes youā¦.taking stock of everything there is to encounterā¦.ā Long as you know how to āget back homeā, and as long as you keep a map, just in caseā¦.
Plus, when you start getting into things that eventually lead into things having to do with Meteorology, Astronomy and the like, well, details are a part of thatā¦. like I was saying: As long as you know how to bring it back homeā¦.
Luann and Quill are maturing ā ever so slowlyā¦.ike our nationā¦ever so slowly. The āleftā leads, the right has to followā¦.over and over.. Spending U.S. right into bankrupcy!!!(cough, cough -awwwwkk) maybe thatās whatās making me & my brethren so sick).Of course, the turkey COULD have been our national bird ā if Ben Franklin had HIS way. Maybe the turkey really IS our national bird.

Luann put a lot of thought into that gift. At 17 it is difficult to buy for a guy, but she got it right.
