In many of the productions of TIOBE, I have seen a man in the role of Lady Bracknell. Pretty much opposite of the ‘pants role’ from many operas (including “The Marriage of Figaro”) with a woman playing the part of a prepubescent boy (high voice, underdeveloped physique [at least with the help of ACE bandages]).

How about Miley Cyrus?

Kind of a cheap shot. With all the publicity I guess Miley would come at a high price.

I watched the five minutes of SOM just before the Do-Re-Mi song and I was surprised at what poor acting I saw.

The casting of the Mother Abbess may have been musically sound, but it was historically implausible.
