I never understood the appeal of trying to find where the gifts were hidden. As a child I knew Christmas came only once a year, and it seemed to take forever for December 25th to roll around. Why spoil the surprise?

Something tell me this is drawn from real life. i.e. “Says the woman who draws unicorns for a living.”

Dad might not be kidding—maybe he and Marigold got together to implement the ultimate lay-away plan! I can picture Todd the Candy Dragon “guarding the treasure”… :-)

Hmm – Marigold is a bad influence on Dad. Either that, or he’s taking advantage of opportunity.

Maybe he got Llewellyn to hide them.

Once…just once, when I was eight I managed to ferret out the spot where my Christmas presents were hidden. The big one, a James Bond slot racer set lasted two days and then died on me.In the curious ways of childhood logic, I became convinced this was my ‘punishment’ for having peeked at my gifts, and I never did it again.

Is incredible how they accepted the fact his daughter’s best friend is a supernatural creature.

I think Dad didn’t actually buy anything for Phoebe yet. The other option is he ordered her presents on-line and they haven’t been delivered.

My mother use to put things in an alternate dimension . She has been dead for 7 years now and we have tore this house apart more than a few times. We have never found the stuff she put it. When that woman put something up it stayed put up.

When I was about 3 or 4, my parents woke to find I had somehow located the Christmas toys in the high shelves of their bedroom closet and got them down and was playing with them. There was no opening presents that year.

This strip is making me wonder if Marigold and Locke are from the same dimension.

Her presents are hidden at Dakota’s house, a place Phoebe would never think of going.
