-Don’t be fooled by the short stature of creatures called ‘elves’. They aren’t children. The ones in early European folk tales (before Tolkien wrote about them) were mischievious spirits (at best), but adult. Tolkien always said his elves had nothing to do with the early Germanic critters. His were magical creatures that were created even before the sun and moon. They awakened in pairs, as adults.
Methinks ‘twas yester day (all my troubles seemed so far away) we were discussing smart phones turning colleges intto collages. If such is the situation here, we are bad-mouthing the machines, not their trusting masters..There was an article in last month’s Play Elf.
