You do have to get older, but you donā€™t have to grow up.

ā€œThereā€™s no point in being grown up if you canā€™t act a little childish sometimes.ā€ ā€”The Doctor, Doctor Who, as played by Tom Baker

if nothing else, youā€™ll have more fun like that!

I am very proud to say that my 30 years old niece asked me if I would ever grow up and to get out of the children playground. :)

I expect to live past 70 but itā€™ll be easy to doā€¦Iā€™m 71 now! And Iā€™ll surely mature soon. I expect that, too, but itā€™s been a bit more elusive than a chronological progression.

The question wasnā€™t ā€˜Are you old yet?ā€™ It was, ā€˜Do you feel old, yet?ā€™ Two totally different questions with two different responses, at least from me. No, I donā€™t feel old.

    I love it when a 50-something cover band decides to play the Whoā€™s ā€œMy Generation.ā€ When they get to the line ā€œhope I die before I get old,ā€ I canā€™t resist yelling, ā€œTOO LATE!!ā€

Hey, Iā€™m a youthful 60, so Iā€™m allowed to do silly things like that.

Next time donā€™t give him a brown tie. For a second I thought he was doing something different.

Iā€™m getting to the point where being looked down on for being ā€œimmatureā€ becomes admiration for being ā€œyouthfulā€.

My teenage granddaughter recently referred to me as ā€œcool.ā€ Canā€™t believe how much we have in common. I must be doing something right!

A few years back, I was wheeling my shopping cart out of the store and the parking lot was at a pretty good angle. So of course I hopped on the back and road it downā€¦Didnā€™t even think about itā€¦ There was a guy walking nearby and he did his best to suppress a smileā€¦.

Thereā€™s a huge difference between childish and childlike.

May the latter last a lifetime!

Geez, at first I thought that in the last panel his tie was his arm. What a weird image that brought to mind.
