Never challenge WORSE.

The worst insult you can give is to call someone an optimist.

The worst insult is to say that a person can never be insulted – think about it!!

Boody’s brand of optimism leaves me pessimistic….

Optimist: The glasses are half full.Pessimist: I hate having to wear bi-focals!

The glass is always full. It’s just that sometimes it’s half air.

Both the optimist and the pessimist see the glass as full.

The difference is what they see the glass as full of.

“The glass is completely empty, and it isn’t even my glass. Someone stole my full glass!

I go to the optimist to have my glasses fixed.

I just noticed: As Boody said “Yes it CAN!”, he leaned on and crushed Dudley’s CAN.Thereby, he made it worse and made a “can” pun.

Boody just crushed Dudley’s world view!

The pessimist is never surprised by Murphy’s Law. The optimist tries to argue that it doesn’t exist.…Who’s the realist?

For a moment, I thought there was a pun on “can.”

“Oh yes it can” get worse. Cute. Of course, when it can’t get worse, then things can only improve. By these reactions Dudley is the optimist and Brody the pessimist.

An optimist keeps us looking up, a pessimist keeps us from falling off a cliff, and a realist can’t figure why the two are arguing since both are wrong.

Re: “Research has shown that about 80% of the population is unrealistically optimistic.”Given your viewpoint, I’m surprised you don’t think the scientists faked or misinterpreted their data.

The glass is neither half full nor half empty, it’s just a half a glass of water. That’s my opinion, so what does that make me? ;:-I Or do I really want to know the answer, hmmm.

If instead Dudley had said that it can get worse, would Boody have still given the same reply? If so, would that make them both pessimists, or optimists?
