Hey—dream big when your 18. It’s your last chance before reality crushes your dreams into dust that’s blown away by the wind.
I like the lads’ dreams. Knute is the punch line, as the others are more or less practical. Oxford probably has a good chance of playing professional sports, though the way the football draft works, he may not get to choose his team. Gunther will have to persuade the Nobel Committee to create an award in math and sewing, since there is no such thing just now. Quill may have that ambition toward stardom, but must realize that very few, no matter how talented, actually attain it (although cheap, ersatz celebrity status is available today for those willing to whore themselves out to the gossip industry and supermarket tabloid press)….
Actually in math. Yes.. Sewing.. No. but the boy can dream.
In actuality Quill will do quite well as a character actor. As those type of actors end up with more employment. Rather than always aiming to be a lead.
I offer this Hollywood veteran. He was in “A Few Good Men”1992. Kevin Pollak was the the LT. that followed Demi Moores character around. A great supporting actor.
Kevin Pollakhttp://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001629/?ref_=tt_cl_t6
He has stayed employed from 1984 and has projects going into 2015.
Though Knute will either be just another guy asking you do you want fries with that or the next fast rising entrepreneur. Considering Crystal is his girl friend. I am betting on the latter.
“In Your Dreams!”^Ha ha! But, I don’t doubt that these will be their true outcomes… I guess, especially Knute… after perfecting (accidentally) his bathroom cleaner solution….

According to “Sheriff”, we don’t get that kind of exposure here…. as far as “pushing down”, everybody uses their screens and reads in a different manner. It’s not going to affect the order, just more “scrolling”, but this one doesn’t make it so that it’s too, too far down. – I agree it’s “huge”, but really, a flag in theory is going to get them in trouble, when it could have been just an honest mistake, and the simplest thing could be just to post to them and just kindly, tactfully bring it to their attention… and I’ll just say I have reason to believe that it wasn’t intended the way that you think it was. – And I don’t think anyone would be flagging you or admonishing you… but if you don’t feel you should be admonished, (though maybe someone else could probably argue they too have the right to flag anyone they feel is in “violation”, whether truly justified or not ), what about someone else? -
And GC only cares if it’s truly offensive (vulgar language, harassment) only… not if it’s inconvenient.. that would lead to a lot of policing on a looooot of strips….
Now it’s also my favorite. Moby and Muse have some interesting arrangements. – Speaking of which, I had just caught their performance on Palladia. I hadn’t realized synth tech had reached that level on an instrument (Chris Wolstenholme’s bass that he used in that performance)!
Forgot to mention earlier, NCAA is a group that actually does sue for stuff… Radio Stations and media were being tracked, and were told that they couldn’t say “March Madness”, or even the team nicknames… for instance, they were only permitted to say “University of Colorado”, but couldn’t say “Buffs”, “Buffaloes” or probably even reference “Chip” during the tourney!….
They jokingly said they should do a cooking show called, “Two Captain’s Kitchen.”^I think it showed a lot, probably why they had that scene on “Generations” at least a smidge, when they were in Kirk’s “virtual kitchen” in the Nexus, making breakfast….
I imagine that the large images mess with smartphone and other small-screen users. I have never used a smartphone, and the smallest screen I have ever used is 15.5".
For anyone who missed it the other day, I think this bears repeating—Hey Brad! Who’s going to pay for that big extravaganza? How much money does the fire department give you? Yeah, let Frank foot the bill!
I can see that Knute is going absolutely No-where…didn’t realize the extent of Quill’s desire to be a Really famous actor…Gunther, you can only win the Nobel Prize for Math, not sewing, for crying out loud! Ox, you’re going to do fine…;)
Mathematics’ big prizes are the Abel Medal (bestowed by the King of Norway, and worth about $1M USA) and the Fields Medal (restricted to winners under age 40). The Fields Medal is worth only $15K Canadian, but it carries enormous prestige.
Quill’s daydream may not be a goal, but a passing fancy. I have no illusions of actually headlining a blues/rock festival, but of course the scenario has crossed my mind a few times.
No snit, I was just genuinely perplexed at not being able to shrink it any further. I progressively made the size/numbers smaller, but the image wouldn’t change again (after changing once or twice). I was using Photobucket.

Gunther wants to win the Nobel Prize in Math and Sewing. Sorry, Gunther, but they don’t offer the Nobel Prize in either of those subjects.
And they never will. This award is actually for a single new field called “Math and Sewing”.
