I’m loving Staton’s art, too. And I have to compliment gocomics again for the vastly improved coloring jobs this strip is receiving now. Night and day better over what we used to see.
The art and perspectives on this are fantastic. Yesterday’s two panel strip then today’s classic yet new art with a prolonged chase scene…what a great era for this comic strip!
I know I’m being picky, picky, picky. But with the crash, the Nitrates have such a head start, wouldn’t it be better to radio ahead for someone else to head them off?.So, the roadblock was part of the dragnet, after all. Sweatbox ending averted, for the time being, at least..One thing for sure: We were promised a chase, and a chase is what we’re going to get!
I certainly agree that the artwork is spectacular although it’s a great leap of faith to believe Sam and Richard could walk away from a turnover at that speed without a hair out of place! Oh well it is just a comic! LOL!! To the poster who thought it was funny and acceptable to call me a pig yesterday, it isn’t and it’s very offensive!
I’m waiting until Brooke finishes this arc, then I’m gonna go back to reading the whole thing as one unit. Not so sure its a hallunciation as it is a time warp thingie. Deja vu thing.
Who hid out in the football stadium scoreboard, Wormy or Flat top ?
Wormy hid out in a baseball scoreboard located in a fairgrounds that was shut down for the winter. He used a portable heater with a bad coil, and it caused interference on a radio that a young girl was listening to. She commented that she got the same noise in the springtime, when the ball games were happening. I guess it could have been used for football games in the fall, as well. Whenever the scorekeeper needed a little extra heat to stay warm. I am not aware of a similar thing happening with Flattop, but maybe it did, and it’s a story I never saw before???
I figured that the roadblock was set up to stop the Nitrates, so that turns out to be the case. Dick and Sam will find some way to catch up to them. It’s personal now! In the current weather conditions, it’s very possible that the fugitives didn’t get very far very fast. We will have to see how the police can catch up to them.
Thank you Gweedo. I believe I’ve been a model citizen of Tracyville and I.M.H.O. have been a generally positive contributor to the comments board. Anyone is free to disagree with that assessment. I think it’s silly to insult me but if you’re going to then at least man up to it!
NG49: A 9CL comment section? Is there a link to it?.Avenger09: Didn’t see the comment. Oh, well. Where’s SDM and some of those precious Pigs on Wheels pictures?
It’s totally irrelevant to Dick Tracy, but there are more than one 9 Chickweed Lane comments-sections readily available (cough e.g., Arcamax cough).………………………………………………………………………………Glad to see Tracy back in the chase immediately. And now Sam’s really primed! I would not want to be Silver or Sprocket Nitrate. They may yet have an ironic encounter with their own live [cheap pun] body disposal method, Lena Hyena….

Got a feeling the butt of that cig may be chewed off before it’s finished. Sam is not a happy man.

With that kind of a lead, they could only be caught IN the comics….still, it’s great to see a longer, drawn out ending this time around!

And Mike and Joe seem to also have the knack for coming up with cool original characters…..keep up the great work, guys!

Seems Sam doesn’t like having his smoking enjoyment interrupted and those that do will pay the price…..

Maybe a helicopter would be a better choice to continue the chase.

Uh-Oh! Tracy’s really pissed off now! Has Tracy failed to capture any villain in his 83 year old history?

Can’t help thinking Sam reckons he’ll catch a bullet before he catches cancer, so he may as well smoke.

Yep Sam is POed. Never yank a chain smoker’s chain. As for the helicopter, it could be possible that the snow and cold is causing too much icing.
