Like others have said. I wonder what determines the type of anthro you get to be. There do seem to be a lot of felines and regular canines around. I haven’t seen a wolf type or vulpine. Ah well, what really matters is what is on the inside, not the shell , although having a good looking and well working body is desirable. hmm, perhaps it depends on what animal the virus last contacted that determines the form. It pulls dna from its previous host?
And perhaps the only pop-culture reference we’ll see in this web-comic series since Aaron Neathery isn’t quite into this stuff as the other cartoonist are: Dan Thompson,Stephan Pastis, Guy Gilchrist, Mark Tatulli, Mastroianni and Hart, Joe Staton and Mike Curtis, and Jim Scancarelli just to name a few.
Coyoty- The virus functions independent of Amesworth radiation and doesn’t seem to have any connection to previous hosts, otherwise the mutants would be almost all just common pet-based types (or insects) and no exotics. Further, the mutants are not animals, but cartoony expresions, implying some subconscious influence.
It is possible, since the requirement is UNconsciousness, that the mutant form is chosen by the subconscious; your ‘secret devil’ becomes you. The body mass may be why we have seen no avian forms. Also, these topsiders may have some terminal illness that made them escape from “racial genetic purification” by the other TSers; their only hope being the story of mutant super-healing…
I would like to see a pair of rats, similar to Doc Rat as oppossed to endtown “cloned rats”. Maybe rather dumb or ignorant rats who need to learn some social skills to get up to speed. The missed joke. I didn’t get the reference, but still figured it was a joke of some kind.
I’m always impressed with how well emotions are conveyed through the TS’er masks. Why would a TS’er want to mutate? They will be hunted and they know first hand the cost of getting caught by TS’ers. Illness has been mentioned as has infiltration. We saw a bit of programming with Kowalsky, but it may have failed because it wasn’t a voluntary mutation in her case and she felt betrayed by the TS’ers when she wanted to speak with her son.The killing of two Topsiders and the sacrifice of two willing agents would outweigh the extinction of the mutants. (in a military sense anyway). They were present after the slaughter of mutants. Did they participate or were they interrupted while asking questions? It could be the loneliness and lack of intimacy and touch that Flask craved. Are they actually TS’ers? There is the race that made the ship. I have a feeling that the true answers are months or even years away.
I was wondering something else. Forgive me for sounding conspiratorial , but what if they’re willing to become deep cover agents for the TSers? Maybe they do have some sort of terminal illness which would be a mitigating factor to go anthro yet still have TSer loyalty. Then later “rewarded” by a brain scrubbbing and becoming a permanent chauffeur. Just thinking. They seem really really eager to become mutants
This is really spicing up the subjets. I suspect that the lady is ill and they want to save her life except in another form. I sure am waiting for this .Blessed Be
Tweedle Dee and Dum are truly hiding something. My witch and cop senses are tingling like crazy. Another thought: how did they know about mutant regeneration powers when even mutants dinna know?
With no solvent, how does anyone else know what they mutated into? They have to come up with solvent somehow, to be able to remove the suits. And the only solvent I know of, was on the dead Topsiders, and they will probably soon be dust in the wind. Clive may have some spare suits and solvent. Maybe. Our current Topsiders have nothing in their pouch, and I would think zero-guns would have given away the fact they are being cloaked. So no zero-guns for this group. Probably. There are simply so many fascinating directions this strip could take, much like Doc Rat’s current story arc. Of course, Amazon still has copies of Endtown volume 2, at a great price. All Endtown merchandise is still available at Cafe Press so get your T-shirts, coffee cups and glassware from Cafe Press. Saving the best for last, you can purchase volumes 3 & 4 of the Endtown saga directly from the author. It is my understanding some prints are still available, with discounted shipping costs for a purchase of two or more prints at one time. Of course, Aaron is certainly open for Donations through the auction site, where you can also view the prints by clicking on previous months, while you search for the donation button. As always please vote as often as you can.

I’m not sure of the reference, but what it reminded me of was The Twins Of Destiny. In my opinion, one of the best cartoon series ever.

Lets have a contest! What will Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum turn into? Pick your favourite cartoon duo! I’m thinking Felix the Cat and Poindexter

Actually, the Wonder Twins reference could have some relevance if we think about the Oracle. Form of…WATER!!

After this, I would not be surprised if they both turn into pigeons!

After the Wonder Twin reference, I’d be upset if one of them does not turn into a ‘space’ monkey. Maybe the other could be a ‘wonder’ dog.
