My four-year-old used to love to ‘help’ me wash the dishes. I gave her an old wooden crate to stand on and a few dishes to wash. I never had a broken plate or cup; a fair bit of water on the kitchen floor but then, guess what, we mopped the floor. She is a mother of two teenage daughters herself now and they are also very competent at helping in the house.
I was also unable to read t, but then I got the bright idea to highlight it. Then it turned into bright white letters on a dark blue page. VERY easy to read.
My son was “washing the dishes” when he was four. I was there, of course, but he did get water everywhere. Children “play” to learn real work. Seriously, didn’t you teach your children this way as well?
Ah, white on blue. Makes me totally nostalgic for the 80’s/early 90’s. Didn’t some of the original word processors have the color combination? And I’m sure I must have played Zork or Colossal Cave Adventure on those colors – good times…!
Why do people expect others to read their comments if they won’t bother to read other people’s comments? Three different posts said to highlight her message to read it. It is a standard method for such situations.

I rolled my cursor over it, to highlight it, and it was easy to read.

Maybe Farley helped Lizzie “clean” the dishes by licking them…

In our house there were three of us girls, Linda washed the dishes, Rosemarie dried, and I picked up the pieces!
