My Grandfather had a rotary dial phone in his home office when I was small, similar to this. No idea what material it was made of, but it wasnât plastic,âŠand it weighed a ton!

(And speaking of all the computers failing, Iâm really ticked with the non-finalizing series finale of âRevolutionâ. I should have known they couldnât return electricity to the world in a one-hour episode, let alone tie up all the other storylines.)

I like rotary âphones, and I have one, but that wonât do me any good if the computers that control the exchanges fail. Abacus and slide rule, yes, theyâll work.
