They are trying. Have you heard about Kansas City’s new water slide? It has been making the national news this past week.

I know the best things in life are supposedly free, but water parks in the summertime….awesome!

I recently saw pictures of the “top 10” world wide waterparks – right out of Calvin’s imagination! Puts Disneyland to shame!

Last time I was in a water park park was back in the 80s. It’s been a while.

There is a water park in Palmdale, Ca. It’s called Drytown. Go figure.

This year we’re gonna try a garden hose pouring down the plastic slide, with a filled inflatable pool where the grandkids land. If it fails terribly I’ll post a link to the news story and my arrest by social services.

San Jose, California had a small (by today’s standards) water slide in Alum Rock Park on the east side back in 1958. It was a simple straight shot with a couple of whoop-de-doos.

Sorry, Redkaycie, bigpuma was ALMOST correct. You evidently missed the joke of the strip..The kid dreamed about the water park, and was worried the dream might make him pee in his pants in his sleep — that’s why he woke up nervous, and was checking himself in the final panel to make sure he was still dry..It loses a lot when it has to be explained.

I didn’t see it at first glance either — I didn’t notice the kid’s downward gaze until I looked at it again.
