Glad that I didn’t attend the reception what with it reaching the boiling point! I must say though that the ambassador appears to remain calm through all this!
Well Dickey do or Dickey don’t
I am betting that he won’t
Stolen property in his hand
Assault on a member of the band
Security he was to provide
He’ll probably just run and hide
A police officer he once was
Now he knows not what he does
Even though it may not be his jurisdiction
One would think he had a predilection
To enforce the law and protect and serve
But it seems he has lost his nerve
Tracy has become but a shell
Of that great dick who gave them hell
Where once criminals fled in fear
Now their laughs ring in his ear
He is now a silly man in a tux
And this strip really sucks
A shining example no longer is he
Just a pitiful caricature for all to see.
I wonder what happens if you put a bomb-equipped Strad through the detectors. I ask because it occurs to me that it could be set to explode if hit with radiation, too.
But, I’m thinking somewhat ahead of the comic here, and maybe way ahead of the detective.
Note to DT: Now might be a good time to put either father or son under custody. A threat has been made, and there’s every reason to believe the father will carry it out. So, sooner or later there will be a murder to solve.
I’m so thankful for DT. Brenda has just gotten way too complicated for me. Dick is like a breath of fresh air.
A packed Strad is so much easier to understand than a packed briefcase.
How did Tracy get back behind the stage in all the mess anyway? Wasn’t he just supposed to be going with Tess? Or did he dump her in the lobby at the popcorn line again?
Today’s is about as GOOD they come, and sums up “exactly” the kind of CREAM PUFF Dick Tracy has become. Unfortunately, Locher doesn’t read this board. Too much automatic FIRE .from us nincompoops. And as a result the misses the comedic
BLISS.
You know poor Dick Locher doesn’t get much credit from today’s Dick Tracy. But if one searches hard enough and dusts away the grit and gravel one may find the occasional “gem”.

Do something, Tucker! Start with that guy who’s brandishing the miniature violin like a club and talking about how heavy it it – he looks dangerous! I can see danger in his squinty little eyes. Tase him! Then call the local police to haul him away. They will not be lenient with him.

The ambassador looks extremely worried, doesnt he?

Also:
If you were to actually hold a Strad that way, I believe connoisseurs of fine instruments all over the world would issue a fatwa against you.

The guests aren’t unruly. The hired musicians are unruly. Boiling point? What boiling point? Maybe Tucker will do “Pants on the Ground”.

Tuck didn’t do squat 6 or 7 days ago when told to “see to It”, before we know it the ambassador will be tending bar

What exactly is Tucker supposed to do? Perhaps a song and dance on the table to divert attention from the unruliness?
