Gee, what would make you guess such a thing about Irving, right out of the blue? Hmmmm….

Whoops. Now that I’ve looked back at the previous day’s comments again (yes, I did that yesterday too), I see that I should not have posted my previous remark. I was just being silly, and hadn’t realized that the individual I was referring to was anyone in particular. Sorry, MrsLuke.

Actually, I also don’t recall saying that I don’t get the strip, except occasionally as to certain punchlines … which of course I could “only guess” (really) were about how ridiculous certain traits can get. I enjoy and admire the strip, or I wouldn’t be here.

It’s not unusual for me to be able to get either too silly or too serious in commenting on a comic strip. That doesn’t really prove much about who I am. Perhaps I, in turn, am reading too much into commenters’ emphatic declarations about how unacceptable Irving is, or their exhortations in favor of Cathy divorcing him, which may be overly silly or serious.

If you have a PC, and you are using Firefox, you can click with the mouse on the comic strip to enlarge it. I do this all the time for Cathy and Doonesbury, in order to be able to read the text. (Other strips don’t usually need this, because they have too little to say. ; ^ > ) Or you can use View, Zoom, Zoom in to enlarge the whole screen.

I don’t know what you can do for other PC’s and/or other browsers. Very likely there is something equivalent.

Ok, I can see it now with my glasses on. I just need new contacs. The click magnifier wasn’t working this morning, but it is now. Figures. Hey, did I call this one one or what? Not that anyone couldn’t.

Irving was NEVER a cognitively intact-ie. Prozac made Cathy complacent enough to marry the walking lobotomy. Either that or they live in a little town called Stepford.
