Only if he accidentally lights a grenade with his cigarette. Lung cancer takes way too long by comparison.

Security details without guns? Over in the sandtrap, everyone that works for the government is strapped and they all have a flak jacket.

maintaining a security staff of suicide bombers usually does lead to understaffing and a high turnover rate. The employee benefits package usually sucks, too.

He’d pack the limo full of nitro and blow someone up, but then they’d have to get another Toyota and even terrorists won’t risk that. :)

Hey, these aren’t terrorists; they’re allies (at least for today.)

What really attracts them seems to be the survivor’s benefits… I don’t know how good they are about actually paying off on them, but they seem to convince the poor idiots that their families will be well-provided for.

Which partly explains why their leaders try to keep the masses in poverty…

Well, nighthawks, if I were guaranteed eternity with a large selection of beautiful virgins, I would probably volunteer also. I’ve often wondered, though - after they’re DE-virgined, do they automatically RE-virginize or do you get a fresh crop? Can you shed any light here? Do a study on this and get back to me, please. Inquiring minds wish to know…

Re the 72 virgins, if you haven’t already done so, read Steve Martin’s great little piece in the New Yorker:

And also… anybody watch “Frontline” last night, the “behind Taliban lines” episode? There’s a section in there where the Taliban try to set up an IED ambush and everything goes wrong–it’s foggy, the spotters don’t call in soon enough, the remote controls for the bombs get mixed up… sounds a bit like this series of strips, really…

@ushindi – According to Muslim belief, the virgins are revirginated every night. Not bad, huh?

What did the virgins do to deserve to be sent to hell?

Thanks, luckylouie, certainly sounds like a good deal to me. This IS guaranteed, right ? I mean, no chance of it not working?
