You know, PBS would be funnier if they stopped resorting to puns… the occasional one is funny, but not a whole franchise of them.

Oh, c’mon, Rat. You know you like it. Just because Cartoon-Boy pays you to be the Heel in the PBS franchise doesn’t mean you can’t lighten up once in a while. Today’s wordplay was pretty decent, for Cartoon-Boy….

I never see the pun coming as i do not look for it. I just love the punch lines when they comes. This one really made me laugh, I mean “furrowy” that takes imagination (y)

Any pun is worth the effort to set it up.

I don’t look for the puns, but it was obvious to me that panel one was a set up for something horrible….

When goat mentioned problems hitting the high notes I figured someone (Rat) would help him reach them by hitting him in the oompa-loompas.

I had intended to curse Cartoon-Boy for defiling the Great Lennon, but after reading the responses I can see that it would only have led to a cry of “ONO!”

What is Rat’s problem? Treble? Furrowy? This is a high-brow joke.

I bet it’s really really difficult to come up with all of these truly groanworthy puns. Impressive work, Mr. Pastis!!!
