Wait…why will Gill see True “at the end of the season”? Did they just make plans for a post-season Hoo? Won’t they see each other when Milford plays Valley Tech?
That artwork in P2 has me thinking of those optical illusion pictures. I can’t tell if that is a panel with Gil’s state championship walking away or a picture of a Grecian urn.
Ignoring all the innuendos they’ve given us……….. what arm? All we’ve seen is him sitting in the stands all summer and then spraining his ankle trying to cross the street.
Wait—this strip is implying Gil has actually looked at the schedule and knows when they play Valley Tech. That’s the most preseason prep he’s done in years!
To clue you in: The old story of “The Tortoise and the Hare”… The fast start QB and the slow start QB… And he’s got 2 seasons to catch up to the “Hare”!

Boy, is Kaz’s comment in panel 2 a hanging curve for MUT.
WallyLamb about 10 years ago
No problem, Gil OWNS Valley Tech.
chiphilton about 10 years ago
The other odd thing about the second panel is that Kaz and Gil both appear to be wearing war paint.

Gil’s Tru colours come shining through – he has lost his will to win. He should step down immediately.

Kaz was also hoping to see something else big in the showers!

Neal Rubin and Rod Whigham obviously do not care about Gil Thorp’s past success.

P 1, Tru, do you like to watch movies about gladiators?
Mr Reality about 10 years ago
In all reality , I think Gil will see True before the end of the season when things don t work out for True or his Dad at Valley Tech.

In all reality, P 1 True says thanks for everything especialy the long hot soapy showers .

Valley Tech nailed for poaching St. Fabe WR, football team suspended for one year. True’s Dad comes crawling back to Gil.

well done!, well done Boone reference!
Speaking of arms, I understand that Gil and Kaz conduct an army-style “short arm inspection” as part of the training regimen for all varsity sports

@bitsy I showed up when Tru needed a doctor who respected football
